🌍 Three Countries. Three Universities. One Shared Vision for a Sustainable Future.

🎉The Univerzitet u Sarajevu - Ekonomski fakultet, in partnership with WU (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien) and the Ekonomska fakulteta, successfully organized a three-week International Summer School on Circular Economy.

💫Throughout the programme, students had the unique opportunity to study in Vienna, Ljubljana, and Sarajevo, gaining diverse academic perspectives while experiencing three vibrant European cities.

📍The Sarajevo module featured lectures by Prof. Amila Pilav-Velić with a guest lecture by Jaap
Versluis from Inholland Rotterdam, providing valuable international insights into circular economy and sustainable business practices.

Beyond the classroom, participants visited the production facilities of Bosnalijek BiH, where they explored how sustainability principles are implemented in practice. The programme also included cultural and networking activities, such as a guided tour of Sarajevo and an unforgettable rafting adventure, creating lasting memories and friendships.

👏A heartfelt thank you to all our partners, lecturers, and students for making this international collaboration such a great success. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of future sustainability leaders!

As part of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), our PhD student Adna Omanović recently participated in an international mobility programme that brought together students and academic staff from Europe, the Middle East, and South Africa.

Reflecting on her experience, Adna shared:

"Participating in the Erasmus+ BIP programme was an incredibly valuable experience that offered much more than academic knowledge. Through lectures, workshops, and collaborative activities, I had the opportunity to exchange ideas with participants from different cultural backgrounds, develop my intercultural competences, and build new international friendships.

Beyond the academic programme, we explored Romania's rich history and culture by visiting the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, the National Bank of Romania Museum, and Peleș Castle in Sinaia. These experiences made the programme even more memorable.

I truly believe that opportunities like this are invaluable, especially for students coming from countries outside the European Union, where international mobility opportunities are less frequent. I am grateful to the organisers, professors, and all participants for an unforgettable experience that I will carry with me both personally and professionally."

We are proud of Adna for representing our institution and wish her continued success in her academic journey.
