🧸 A SPECIAL FIRST DAY AT IDSS – WELCOME, LITTLE ONES! 🧸

Today was another very special day at Internationale Deutsche Schule Sarajevo as we welcomed our youngest members to the IDSS Preschool Group! 💙💛

Tiny steps, big smiles, curious little eyes and lots of new experiences filled our school with joy and excitement. ✨

For some of our little ones, it was their very first day in a new environment, a big moment full of emotions, discoveries and new beginnings. And what a wonderful beginning it was! 🥰

A huge THANK YOU to our parents for trusting us with their little ones, to our wonderful preschool teachers for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and most importantly, to our brave little explorers for making this first day so special! ❤️

✨ A SPECIAL DAY AT IDSS – FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! ✨

Today was a truly special day at Internationale Deutsche Schule Sarajevo as our wonderful first-graders walked into their classrooms for the very first time. 🏫💙

New faces, curious eyes, big smiles and a little bit of excitement, the beginning of a brand-new adventure! 🌟

It was a fantastic feeling to see our youngest students take their first steps into school life, surrounded by their teachers, parents and the entire IDSS community.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all our parents, our amazing first-graders and our dedicated teachers for creating such a warm, joyful and wonderfully organised first day. ❤️

And just like that… IDSS Summer School 2026 has officially come to an end! ❤️

𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲.
𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿! 🌍☀️

From exploring Sarajevo and its history, discovering local culture and traditions, visiting businesses and production facilities, meeting animals, exploring the Pyramids of the Sun and travelling to Konjic and Tito's Bunker, our children experienced learning far beyond the classroom.

We are incredibly proud of this year's group. Their curiosity, energy, openness and enthusiasm made these ten days truly special. ❤️

🏔️✨ 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟵 — 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬, 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 & 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗞𝗢𝗡𝗝𝗜𝗖! 🌊

Day 9 of the 𝗜𝗗𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 took our young explorers on an unforgettable journey through history, craftsmanship and nature!

Our destination today was beautiful 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗷𝗶𝗰, where every stop brought something new to discover. 🌍

🔎 We began deep inside the mountain at 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗼’𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿 (𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗗-𝟬) — one of the world's most fascinating Cold War-era underground complexes. Built in complete secrecy between 1953 and 1979, its tunnels and command rooms gave our children a unique glimpse into a very different chapter of history.

But the bunker wasn't only about history. Today, it also serves as a space for contemporary art, creating an incredible connection between history, architecture and creativity. 🎨

🪵 From underground tunnels, we continued to 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗷𝗶𝗰’𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮 č𝗮𝗿š𝗶𝗷𝗮, where the children discovered the town's famous traditional woodcarving craftsmanship.

They had the opportunity to see artisans at work and learn about a skill that has been passed down through generations — a tradition recognized by UNESCO as part of the world's intangible cultural heritage. 👏

🌊 After a morning full of discovery, we slowed down and enjoyed lunch right beside the beautiful Neretva River — the perfect setting to relax, talk, laugh and enjoy time together.

🌿☀️ 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗡 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥! 🐾

Another successful 𝗜𝗗𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 is underway, and this year we have an exceptional group of children who are making every day count! ❤️

Our Summer School is about much more than spending the summer together. It is about 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀. 🌍

Today, our children visited 𝗭𝗢𝗢 𝗕𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗜 𝗛𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮, where learning came to life.

🐾 We got close to the animals
🌱 We helped clean and care for their habitats
🤝 We learned about responsibility and caring for living beings
🎯 We played, explored and had plenty of fun
❤️ And we experienced the joy of connecting with animals in a safe and respectful environment

These are the moments children remember. The moments when they 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀. 🌿

🏀 ALI KARAGIĆ –> reprezentativac Bosne i Hercegovine! 🇧🇦

Presretni smo i ponosni što je naš učenik Ali Karagić među 16 najboljih U14 košarkaša koji će predstavljati Bosnu i Hercegovinu!

Ali je dokaz da se predan rad, disciplina i upornost uvijek isplate. Pored svojih sportskih uspjeha, Ali je i odličan učenik te uzoran i vrijedan mladi čovjek.

Od srca čestitamo Aliju, njegovoj porodici i svima koji su dijelom njegovog sportskog p**a. Želimo mu mnogo uspjeha u dresu reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine! 🇧🇦🏀
