WELS GABALA updates are continuing.

Day5️⃣:

📚The academic program of the day featured two engaging lectures by Ruslan Bayramov and Fuad Gashamov from Legalize Law Firm. The first session explored good faith in contract law, highlighting its role in ensuring fairness in agreements. The second session focused on contractual disputes and alternative dispute resolution, offering insights into arbitration as an effective conflict resolution method.

💃🏽The Gala Ball commenced with a certificate awarding ceremony, recognizing participants’ achievements. The evening continued with music, dance, and a feast of Azerbaijani national cuisine, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere to conclude this unforgettable experience.

Here are the highlights from the fourth day of WELS Gabala.

Day 4️⃣:

📖 The academic program started with an insightful session by Samira Safarova (KPMG Law) on “Negotiations before Legal Regulation of Contractual Obligations”, offering participants a strategic approach to pre-contractual discussions. This was followed by a case study led by her, where participants explored the practical aspects of protecting client interests in contract drafting.
The final lecture of the day, led by Rashad Jahangirov (Turan Legal and Tax Services), focused on the “Analysis of Legal Implications of Non-Compete Conditions in Contracts”, providing a detailed examination of the enforceability and business impact of such clauses.

🍷 After the lectures, participants visited Savalan ASPI Winery, where they explored Azerbaijan’s winemaking traditions and enjoyed a wine tasting session.

🎤 The day ended with a fun Karaoke Night, where participants performed songs from their home countries, creating a vibrant cultural exchange through music.

WELS Gabala – Third day Recap! ❄️

Day3️⃣:

⛷️After two intense days of learning and networking, participants took a well-deserved break at Tufandag Ski Resort!

🏔️ The day was filled with exciting winter sports, including skiing and a breathtaking cable car ride that offered panoramic views of the snowy mountains.

🃏The night concluded with a cozy Game Night, where participants enjoyed classic card games and plenty of laughter.

Here are the highlights from the second day of WELS Gabala.

Day 2️⃣:

📄 The day began with an insightful session by Ayten Teymurzade-Mammadova (KPMG Law) on Electronic Contracts and Digital Signatures, focusing on authentication and legal validity. Continuing the exploration of contract law, Mustafa Salamov (BM Morrison Partners) provided both theoretical insights and practical case studies on Void and Voidable Contracts.

⛵️After multiple lectures, participants relaxed at Nohur Lake, enjoying the natural scenery and informal networking.

🍸National Drinks Night provided participants with a platform to showcase their traditional drinks and meals, fostering cultural exchange through shared flavors and stories from their home countries.

📣Dear friends,

As we wrap up the 6th edition of WELS Gabala, we’re excited to share highlights from the first official day of this remarkable event!

Organized by ELSA Azerbaijan, the event was held from February 9th to 16th, 2025, bringing a week of enriching sessions, cultural activities, and meaningful connections, all focused on Contract Law.

Day1️⃣:

📍The official opening took place at the ASAN Service Centre in Gabala, where the President of ELSA Azerbaijan, the Head of the Organizing Committee, and the Head of the Academic Programme warmly welcomed participants, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.

📝The academic program kicked off with an engaging session led by Jamaladdin Abishov and Nihat Alishov from Deloitte, where participants explored the key elements of Contract Law. Subsequently, Yegana Mammadova delivered an insightful lecture on International Contract Law, further enriching the participants’ legal knowledge.

🎡Stepping away from the academic sessions, the day continued with a visit to Gabaland Amusement Park, where participants enjoyed thrilling rides and fun-filled activities.

🪩The night ended on a high note with the Euphoria Party, where participants celebrated, danced, and bonded over the start of an unforgettable week.
