In 2022, at the Youth House, where I received detailed information about FLEX, I had the honor of informing the guests as a FLEX alumna. It was a proud moment to be invited to the seminar as the first student from our village to study abroad, having attended Hanifa Village Secondary School until the 7th grade.

I hope that the students participating in these sessions will become the bright leaders of the future.

2022-ci ildə FLEX haqqında ətraflı məlumat aldığım Gənclər Evində bir FLEX məzunu kimi qonaqları məlumatlandırmaq şərəfinə nail oldum. 7-ci sinfə qədər Hənifə kənd tam orta məktəbində oxuyan kəndimizdən xaricdə təhsil alan ilk şagird kimi seminara dəvət olunmaq qürurverici bir məqam idi.

Ümid edirəm ki, bu sessiyalarda iştirak edən tələbələr gələcəyin parlaq liderləri olacaqlar.

Məzunu olduğum Balakən rayon Humanitar və Texniki təmayüllü liseyə bir il sonra FLEX 2024 alumni kimi qayıtdım. Bir vaxt bu sıralarda əyləşib gələn qonaqları dinləyən mən, indi özüm qonaq olaraq liseyçilərlə Amerika təcrübələrimi bölüşdüm və onların suallarını cavablandırdım. Balakənin ilk FLEX qalibi olaraq bu proqrama gəncləri cəlb etməyi özümə borc bilirəm😇

We discussed our experiences and the application process and answered students' questions about the programs.

Some notes from meeting:

1. The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program is a cultural exchange program that provides scholarships to high school students from Europe and Eurasia to spend an academic year in the United States. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and promotes understanding between citizens of the U.S. and 21 countries across Europe, Eurasia, and Central Asia. Students live with volunteer host families and attend American high schools, learning about American values.

2. Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship: A four-week program for students ages 16–18 that focuses on global issues, leadership, and community service. Students explore U.S. foreign policy priorities, such as youth engagement, democracy, and economic prosperity. The program includes lectures, seminar discussions, presentations, and workshops.

3. EducationUSA Academy is a two-to-four week academic program which provides college preparatory content including specialized courses in various fields, English and academic writing courses, tours of diverse college and university campuses, and cultural activities to 15- to 17-year old.
