My Company, My Startup

“My Company – My Startup” project held educational seminar for the participants of the project on the 21st of May. The event was aimed at enhancing practical and theoretical knowledge of the participants concerning various topics which are related to the entrepreneurship in order to relate knowledge that they got while realizing their project abroad via conducting trainings. Speakers from well-known companies shared their knowledge and experience as well as gave tips and tricks on running the startup. The sessions at educational seminar were conducted by Economist and Financial Analyst at SOCAR Capital – Nihad Mansimzada, Head of Financial Advisory department at Deloitte – Daniyar Adigamov, Marketing Manager of STEP IT Academy – Agharahim Poladov, Founder and Executive Director of “Naveen” fashion brand – Nazrin Agharzayeva and Founder of “Vizam.az” – Baba Aghayev. Nihad Mansimzada shared information concerning “Financing options for owners of SMEs and Startups”, “Financial Statements”, “How to present your startup to investors”. Daniyar Adigamov conducted training on “The future of jobs and work skills”, “Careers and learning”, “The employee experience: Culture, engagement, and beyond”, “Diversity and inclusion: The reality gap” and shared his own experience of launching startup. Agharahim Poladov stressed the importance of social media marketing while launching and running the startup and how to use marketing properly for enhancing the brand. Nazrin Agharzayeva shared her experience of launching “Naveen” fashion brand, how to do fashion market research, stages of launching your startup, collection development, and ways of promotion. Baba Aghayev shared his experience (good case practice) on “My Company – My Startup” project and gave tips and tricks on various issues that are relevant in launching the startup and presenting your ideas as well as trainings abroad.
