100-ə yaxın elmi nəşrin müəllifi olan Dr. Krutkanın tədqiqatları media, texnologiya, demokratiya və təhsil sahələrinin kəsişməsini əhatə edir. Onun işləri müəllim və tələbələri rəqəmsal texnologiyalar, alqoritmlər və süni intellektin cəmiyyətə təsirini tənqidi şəkildə qiymətləndirməyə təşviq edir. Dr. Krutka bir sıra milli mükafatlara layiq görülmüşdür və hazırda "Texnologiya və Müəllim Təhsilində Müasir Problemlər – Sosial Elmlər" jurnalının həmredaktoru kimi fəaliyyət göstərir.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Daniel G. Krutka, Associate Professor of Social Studies Education at the University of North Texas and co-founder of the Civics of Technology project.

Author of nearly 100 scholarly publications, Dr. Krutka’s work explores the intersections of media, technology, democracy, and education. His research encourages educators and students to critically examine the societal impacts of digital technologies, algorithms, and AI. He has received numerous national awards and currently serves as co-editor of "Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education – Social Studies".

▪️ Their influence on students’ access to information
▪️ Critical thinking in the digital age
▪️ Challenges and opportunities for educators in AI-driven learning environments

✔ Yesterday we had a truly inspiring session on “Teaching with AI: Practical Strategies for Integrating AI in the Classroom.” This was yet another successful collaborative webinar jointly organized by IELTA and STEP Azerbaijan, bringing together the efforts of IELTA Azerbaijan, IELTA Türkiye, and STEP Azerbaijan.
Educators from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Pakistan, the Philippines, Kuwait, Peru, Bolivia, Malaysia, Nepal, Romania, India, Bangladesh, Algeria, Egypt, Ukraine, Kenya, Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Tanzania, Lebanon, Morocco, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Moldova, the UK, Cameroon, Tajikistan, Georgia, Somalia, and Benin joined us, bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to the discussion.

Together, we explored:

🔹 The most useful AI tools for teachers
🔹 Practical strategies and a roadmap for integrating AI into teaching

On March 28, STEP Azerbaijan hosted a truly engaging and impactful 3-hour workshop led by our incredible English Language Fellows, Ashanti Lee and Jordan Brown . Ashanti made the journey all the way from Ankara, and this innovative initiative was made possible thanks to Jordan Brown.
The workshop itself was dynamic, insightful, and full of meaningful interaction — creating a great learning environment for everyone involved.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Global City Academy .academy for providing the venue.
