Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) is a financial hub for Central Asia, the Caucasus, EAEU, the Middle East, West China, Mongolia and Europe. Since 2019, within the framework of the AIFC legal internship programme “Future lawyers” more than 40 interns from different jurisdictions were enrolled to the internship in the AIFC. In 2022, the AIFC Academy of Law is pleased to announce that internship programme will be organized on-site at the AIFC premises in Nursultan, Kazakhstan. Interns will be working with the AIFC Bodies and the AIFC Participants. They will receive a certificate of competition.

• Application deadline: 10 June 2022
• Internship period: 4July- 26 August 2022
Eligibility criteria:

• Completed a minimum of 2 years of an undergraduate law degree; or - fresh graduate (undergraduate/postgraduate); or - a newly qualified lawyer.

• Submit an essay on one of the topics listed below (500 words max):
o Current trends in regulations of financial services
o New areas of law within the AIFC Legal framework
o Future of law within LegalTech
o Modern trends in green finance and legal regulation
o New investment areas through the AIFC
o The role of international lawyers in a global environment
