Meeting professoren profiel Tax Law en de Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid UA

Na een jaar online meetings en colleges gaven Professor Anouk Bollen, UA gastdocent “Fiscale aspecten van arbeid en pensioen” en professor Roland Brandsma, UA gastdocent “Cross border Dutch Caribbean and Surinam Tax Law” afgelopen week weer ‘gewoon’ live colleges aan de Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid van de Universiteit van Aruba.

Afgelopen woensdag 23 maart bespraken beide professoren de toekomst van het profiel Tax Law van het masterprogramma samen met Decaan Ruth Bonnevalle-Kok en Voorzitter Examencommissie Geert Pesselse.

Afgesproken is dat het profiel tax law niet alleen met volle kracht wordt voortgezet, maar tegelijkertijd toegankelijker wordt gemaakt voor werknemers uit de fiscale adviespraktijk, overheid en overige geïnteresseerden in het belastingrecht.

Er is de mogelijkheid om, mits voldaan aan de vereisten, als zij-instromer aan het masterprogramma te beginnen. Maar zeker ook is er de mogelijkheid tot deelname aan afzonderlijke fiscale vakken in de vorm van certificaten.

Het profiel Tax Law biedt een unieke samenstelling van fiscale vakken aan, gedoceerd door zowel professoren als ervaren fiscalisten uit de Caribische fiscale adviespraktijk.
Een opleiding die goede kansen biedt op een mooie en financieel aantrekkelijke carrière op het eiland of ver daarbuiten.

De Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid, die onlangs opnieuw positief werd geaccrediteerd door de NVAO, is zeer verheugd met de voortzetting van deze geslaagde samenwerking!

We would like to inform you that a new TOEFL test date has become available in Aruba!

The TOEFL iBT test can be taken in Oranjestad on the following days:
- Saturday, April 13, 2019

In April, we will be offering our spring courses again in Aruba!

The courses are:
- Foundations of Taxation
- Fundamentals of International and European Tax Law

The introductory spring courses offer a basis for candidates who want to participate in the Double Degree Master’s Programme (www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/law/aruba), but are also interesting for professionals who are looking for further training.

Both courses require a good command of English. After successful completion of the courses, including exams, participants will receive a certificate from Maastricht University.

Furthermore, if you are interested in joining the master’s programme, in order to be released of an entry exam you may need to obtain a certificate of achievement of the courses on Foundations and Fundamentals.

The University of Aruba and Maastricht University are proud to announce that this year nine students from the Double Degree Master Program in International and European Tax Law are graduating!

These students have performed a unique achievement and therefore on 7 December they receive both their degree from Maastricht University and from the University of Aruba.

At the same time they have now acquired the Master of Laws in International and European Tax Law from Maastricht University and Master of Laws in Aruban Law from the University of Aruba.
During the graduation ceremony, the first copy of the book 'Corporate taxation in the Dutch Caribbean and Latin American region: BES islands, Aruba, Curaçao, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela' will be handed over to the Prime Minister of Aruba, Mrs. mr. Evelyn Wever-Croes.

This book is specially written for the Double Degree Program on Aruba.
This finally fills a long-standing gap.

A Universidade de Aruba e a Universidade de Maastricht vêm, orgulhosamente, comunicar que este ano 9 (nove) estudantes do Programa Conjunto em Tributação Internacional e Européia concluirão o curso!

Estes estudantes realizaram algo único, motivo pelo qual receberão no dia 07 de dezembro o título das duas universidades, tornando-se Mestres em Tributação Internacional e Europėia pela Universidade de Maastricht e Mestres em Direito Arubenho pela Universidade de Aruba.
