ANZAC DAY MARCH

All Young High School students are welcome to participate in the commemoration of the ANZAC on Saturday 25th April.

We will assemble in Boorowa Street, adjacent to the Young Town Hall Memorial Tower at 10.15am, ready to march at 10.45am. The march will conclude in Anderson Park ready for the 11.00am Memorial Service.

Students are requested to wear full school uniform.

The Open Boys Soccer Team travelled to Wagga last week for their gala day, putting in an impressive performance. They all showed great teamwork and sportsmanship, proudly representing our school every step of the way.

Our Year 7 students have spent the term exploring different aspects of health and wellbeing, and this week, coinciding with Harmony Day, they put their learning into action!🍎

Working in groups, the students designed engaging activities to teach Year 1 classes about their chosen health topics. From interactive games to hands-on learning experiences, the Year 7 students did a fantastic job leading, supporting and inspiring our younger students. 🎉

To help reinforce the learning, each Year 1 student received a small take-home product connected to the topic, giving them a fun reminder of what they learned.

It was wonderful to see collaboration across year levels, with our Year 7 students showing leadership, creativity and care while helping Year 1 students learn about healthy choices.
Well done everyone.

Athletics Carnival - Part 2

What a fantastic day at the Young High School Athletics Carnival! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Students showed incredible determination, sportsmanship and house spirit both on and off the track, giving their all in every event. From sprints and relays to field events and novelty races, the energy and encouragement throughout the day made it a true celebration of participation, teamwork and school pride.

A huge congratulations to all competitors for their efforts, and a big thank you to our staff, volunteers and supporters who helped make the day such a success. Enjoy the highlights from an unforgettable carnival…
