Our Pre-School 1 children have been exploring colour mixing as a fun warm-up for Science Week next week!

The children experimented with different colours, making predictions, mixing, observing and discovering what new colours they could create. 🌈🧪

Pre School 1 is off to space! 🪐🚀

Our children have been extending their interest in space and planets by working together to create their very own Space Station. Through astronaut dress-ups, creative arts and crafts, and sensory experiences, they’re exploring, imagining, and learning as their space adventure continues. We can’t wait to see where their imaginations take us next! 🌟👨‍🚀💫

Today our babies, toddlers and preschoolers came together to celebrate National Pyjama Day!

The children loved wearing their favourite pyjamas to care, sharing stories, joining in fun activities and enjoying a cosy day with their friends.

❤️ Our Family Wall ❤️

This week our preschoolers began creating their Family Wall to foster a sense of identity and belonging.

The children painted family portraits, shared stories about their loved ones, and we documented their words alongside their artwork. We can’t wait to watch our Family Wall grow as we continue this special project! 🏡✨

The Pre school 1 Children have extended their colour mixing project by taking the learning outdoors ☀️

Using coloured water, droppers, measuring jugs and colour mixing cards, the children explored primary and secondary colours while strengthening their fine motor skills. They enjoyed sharing ideas, practising turn-taking, and discovering new colours through hands-on sensory play.

Taking our room project outside encouraged the children to build on their learning in a fun, engaging and meaningful way.

NAIDOC WEEK! Last week we celebrated NAIDOC Week through a range of meaningful learning experiences such as listening to Dreamtime stories and indigenous music, dot paintings and creating Australian animals using playdough. Throughout the week, the children demonstrated respect, curiosity, and engagement as they participated in culturally significant learning experiences that fostered a sense of belonging, identity and connection.

Self Service! Our Preschool 2 friends have been building their independence during lunchtime by serving themselves yummy pizzas and a fruit platter using tongs. This hands on experience supported their fine motor skills, confidence, decision making and self help skills, while encouraging healthy eating habits and participation in our daily routines.

This month in the Nursery room, we have began exploring our new project focus : Winter 🥶 Through a variety of arts and crafts experiences, the Children have been learning about the season, engaging in conversations and music trying our best to express our creativity. We look forward to continuing our winter learning journey together!

This week, our Preschool friends explored the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags as part of our Wandana Bespoke Program. Together, we learnt about the meaning behind each flag and how they represent the histories, cultures and identities of First Nations peoples. The children enjoyed creating their own flags while developing an understanding of identity, belonging and community.
