After taking a year off from breeding last season for the first time in over 20 years, we are pleased to announce that our first foal for this season arrived on Saturday night- a big, beautiful and oh-so-friendly filly by Sternbergs Lenaro (IMP Ger) and out of the talented showjumping Warmblood mare, BB Fleurdelys (BB Flemminghton (Flemmingh) x BB Jodelen (Jive Magic)). We are very excited to share that we are expanding Powderbark Stud to breed Highland Ponies alongside our Connemaras. We have been very privileged to purchase four Highland Ponies as our foundation stock from Beinn Kaldy Highland Ponies in Victoria and Currie Park Stud in WA. Many thanks to Amy, Jim and Myra for trusting us with these beautiful ponies. Introducing weanling fillies Beinn Kaldy Duan (yellow dun, top left) and Beinn Kaldy Abhainn (mouse dun, top right), weanling c**t Currie Park Kinross (yellow dun, bottom left) and yearling filly Currie Park Glenshiel (yellow dun, bottom right). They are great characters and are fitting in well here 😍
