BOOK WEEK FUN IN THE LIBRARY!

Our Library came alive with colour, creativity and plenty of literary characters as students and staff embraced the spirit of Book Week by dressing up as their favourite book characters.

A big thank you to everyone who got into the spirit of the occasion and made Book Week such a memorable celebration. We hope it has inspired our boys to pick up a good book and discover a new adventure between the pages.

A special thank you to our Library staff for hosting a range of fun activities throughout the week and helping make the celebrations so enjoyable for everyone. We also extend our thanks for organising the delicious Book Week cake, which was a highlight for many!

ON TO THE QUEENSLAND FINAL

The journey continues for our SBC 1st XIII.

After defeating Kirwan to secure their place in the Queensland Schoolboys Rugby League Final, the boys now turn their attention to the final challenge of an already outstanding season built on hard work, commitment and teamwork.

On Thursday, SBC will take on Wavell State High School at Langlands Park, with the opportunity to compete for Queensland schoolboy rugby league honours.

Having already claimed the 2026 Confraternity Shield, the boys have earned the chance to test themselves against one of the state's best school rugby league programs.

The match will be streamed live on 9Now, allowing our College community, Old Boys, families and supporters to get behind the boys wherever they are.

Good luck to the team and coaching staff as they prepare for Thursday.

Families have been emailed all the information relating to team photos and schedules.

Please ensure students arrive at school with the correct attire for their team photo, including all required uniform items, socks and football boots where applicable.

The uniform shop is open on Friday and Monday between 7.30am - 11.30am and on Wednesdays 12.00noon to 4.30pm if you need items.

TWO TEAMS - TWO WINS

Congratulations to our 1st XIII and 10A Rugby League teams on their outstanding victories over Kirwan State High School today!

Both teams delivered impressive performances, with the 1st XIII securing a 30–14 victory and the 10A team claiming a convincing 24–4 win.

A special thank you to our dedicated coaching and support staff for their tireless efforts in preparing, supporting and guiding the boys both on and off the field.
