Learn the dynamic Filipino Fighting Arts of Eskrima, Eskrido and Pangamot the most practical weapons There is no age limit to practice Eskrima.

The Cacoy Doce Pares World Federation was founded by Supreme Grandmaster Ciriaco Cacoy Canete, one of the original founders of the Doce Pares Arnis Eskrima school in Cebu City, Philippines in 1932. This system incorporates the fluid elliptical striking techniques for which Cacoy Doce Pares is famous. Disarming and Eskrido throwing techniques are also included as is grappling from Pangamot, and Dum

og. The style is realistic and combat-focused employing continuous, rapid, and fluid motion when striking displaying versatility and agility. Cacoy Doce Pares is an advanced weaponry based martial art and tends to be learned much faster than most of the Japanese and Chinese systems. It is very adaptable, as a practitioner can effectively use an umbrella, walking stick or even a tightly rolled newspaper as well as empty hands against an attacker. An experienced Eskrimador can also disarm an attacker who is armed with a stick or bottle, and in the advanced stages of Pangamot (Filipino Ju Jitsu) training, a knife, machete or even a gun. Eskrimadors continue to improve as they get older.

In compliance with the new Australian Government shut down of facilities, such as gyms, all ECDPI classes will be suspended until further advice is received.

Come by ECDPI HQ tomorrow, Saturday, 14th of March at 11am to support George through his black belt grading!

The ECDPI black belt test is brutal - George will have to demonstrate his techniques and knowledge, defend himself against multiple opponents, and complete successive rounds of unarmed and armed sparring, all culminating in a 5 minute unarmed dog fight against 2 different opponents.

Let's all get behind George as he starts the next stage of his Filipino martial arts journey!

Classes at ECDPI HQ start up again tomorrow, Saturday 11th of January.

Now that the holiday season is over, it's time to get back into training to continue improving and developing our skills! (And work off that holiday weight 😂)

If you've never tried Filipino Martial Arts before - this is your chance. Come along to a class at ECDPI HQ or ECDPI Minchinbury and give it a go! The first lesson is free.

Our last class of 2019 will on Saturday 21st December.

Classes will resume in 2020 on Saturday 11th January.

Pingy Pingys and their patterns develop rhythm, timing and ability to detect strikes. We also set up patterns to reflect its adaptation from stick to empty hand. And later adapt from empty hand to any type of equaliser that can be held in hand eg. a mobile phone.
