National Science Week. Today our Year 3/4 students took their learning outdoors and explored our beautiful backyard at the Yea Wetlands. We investigated the plants, animals and habitats around us, asked questions, made observations and discovered how science can help us to understand and care for our local environment.

Tomorrow is National Pyjama Day. We encourage our students to come dressed in their winter pjs with dressing gowns and sneakers or an appropriate tracksuit!

Last Friday, we celebrated the Feast of the Sacred Heart with a wonderful day of fun and community. We would like to thank the National Centre for Farmer Health for their generous support and Baby Gino’s Woodfired Pizza for providing us with a delicious wood fired pizza lunch. ❤️

On National Sorry Day, we honour the strength, truth and lived experiences of Stolen Generations survivors and their families.

National Sorry Day acknowledges the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people forcibly removed from their families and communities - known as The Stolen Generations.

Today, May 26, is a recognised day to reflect and engage in truth-telling. Everyone can play a role in the healing process.

TLaWC honours the strength and resilience of The Stolen Generations not only today, but all days.
