Today we celebrate and appreciate the people who lead our schools, support their staff and students, and somehow manage to keep all the wheels turning โ€” often while juggling approximately 7,000 things at once!

Mr Irvine, thank you for all that you do for our school, our staff, our students and our families. Your leadership and support, are genuinely appreciated by us all. Weโ€™re lucky to have you!

Being a principal is no small job, and today we hope you know that the work you do, the support you give and the difference you make are valued.

You've probably seen a lot of headlines lately about declining NAPLAN results across the state. We wanted to share a different story โ€” because our Yea PS kids have bucked that trend!
NAPLAN tests students in Year 3 and Year 5 across five areas: Reading, Writing, Spelling, Numeracy, and Grammar & Punctuation. The table below compares our students' results (in blue) against the average for similar schools and the state average.
The short version: ๐˜๐ž๐š ๐๐’ ๐œ๐š๐ฆ๐ž ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐จ๐ฉ ๐ข๐ง ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ž ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ, ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐›๐จ๐ญ๐ก ๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฌ. That's a genuine credit to our students' hard work, our teachers' dedication, and the support of our whole school community.
