Working Bee

Thank you to those community members who have already put their name down for the Working Bee this weekend.

We are calling out for more helpers, especially on Saturday, as many hands make light work!

Come Saturday or Sunday anywhere from 9am -12pm.
Any time you can give is greatly appreciated.

We are participating in Yass Valley SPIN Foundation Pyjama Day this week.

Everyone is welcome to wear their pjs throughout the week and bring a cold coin donation to help support the Yass Valley SPIN Foundation.

Yass Valley Schools Pyjama Day this Friday 24 July.

Due to being such a big day for Lionel & our volunteers to get around to all businesses in the main street as well as all the schools, we will be promoting this year as a SCHOOLS Pyjama Day.

BUT, we are more than happy to visit your workplace if your team are busting to wear their PJ's all day!! If your workplace is participating this Friday, please comment or send us a message & we will sure to drop in for a visit & a few pics.

Help us create a lasting legacy at our beautiful new preschool by purchasing a personalised engraved paver. Whether it's your family name, a special message, or your child's artwork, your contribution will become a permanent feature in our landscaped outdoor space for generations to enjoy.

⏰ Orders close Friday 24 July (the first Friday of Term 3).

To secure your order, we must receive both payment and any hand-drawn artwork by Friday 24 July. Unfortunately, drawings received after this date cannot be engraved.

Drawing templates can be collected from the preschool.
We require the original artwork to be returned to the preschool before Friday 24 July for engraving.

Expressions of Interest – Diploma Qualified Educators

At Yass Montessori Pre-School, we have sought to create an environment in which children thrive and feel empowered to explore the world around them. We understand the importance of educators, families, and the broader community in shaping each child’s desire for lifelong learning.

Yass Montessori is entering an exciting chapter in the life of the Pre-School! Our new Children’s House is getting closer to opening. With the proposed expansion of student enrolments, the Pre-School is reaching out to qualified, experienced and like-minded Diploma Educators to join our amazing team.

Expressions of interest are invited for:
• Diploma‑Qualified Educators (part-time)

All positions are subject to Service Approval for the new service.

These roles offer the opportunity to work in a calm, nurturing Montessori environment with a supportive team committed to reflective practice and high‑quality outcomes for children.

We’re looking for educators who possess:
• A nurturing, enthusiastic, and reliable approach to educating children
• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
• A current WWCC, National Police Check, First Aid & Child Protection training
• A working knowledge of Child Safe Practices
• An ability to act as a Responsible Person (advantageous)
• Value child‑led learning and respectful relationships
• An eagerness to grow their Montessori knowledge (training and mentoring provided!)
• An ability to work collaboratively within a small, dedicated team and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
• At least 1 year experience in the role of Diploma qualified educator
