Yesterday, our Year 5 students with Mr Green, Mrs Karakotas, Mrs Field, Mrs Leahy and Mrs Allan proudly attended the launch ‘Grounded in Faith, Growing in Service.’ Our Apostolic Action Plan for 2027-2033 sets a shared direction for Catholic education across Canberra, Goulburn and surrounding regions.

The plan is centred on helping students flourish through academic excellence, faith, service and integral human development, while ensuring our schools remain welcoming communities where every child is known, loved and cared for.

The sun was shining, the activities were plenty, and there were smiles everywhere! 😊

Our students enjoyed another fun-filled day of adventures, laughter and making memories together — with some very happy teachers joining in the fun too! 💕👏 Who knows? Maybe there will even be a visit from the tooth fairy? 😉

❤️ Mt Carmel Celebrates 150 Years! ❤️

Mrs Swadling and the students in 1 RED have proudly finished sewing their beautiful gift bags, which were filled with the generous donations kindly provided by IGA Yass for St Vincent de Paul.

With the help of their Year 5 RED Big Buddies, the students delivered the bags along with heartfelt letters of support to the wonderful team at Yass Vinnies. The gifts and kind messages were gratefully received and are sure to bring comfort to members of our local community.

A sincere thank you to IGA Yass for their generosity and to our students for showing such kindness, compassion and commitment to serving others. 💙💛

Yesterday, 5 Green led our school community in a beautiful NAIDOC Week prayer service, inviting us to come together in reflection as we celebrated the rich cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

After morning tea, our Year 5 students took on the role of leaders, running a variety of traditional NAIDOC games during our K–6 Sport session. It was wonderful to see students of all ages learning, laughing and playing together, with plenty of smiles and great sportsmanship on display.

A big thank you to our Year 5 students, Mrs May and Mrs Leahy for helping create such a meaningful and enjoyable session for all of our students.
