On 25 September, Brenda Lawrence celebrated an incredible 20 years of service with YMCLC. As Brenda reflected on her journey, she described it simply as,"It's been quite a journey."
Beginning with a government-subsidised contract and working just one day per week, Brenda's role gradually expanded over the years as the organisation grew and evolved. Through her dedication, commitment, and willingness to adapt, her hours steadily increased, reflecting the valuable contribution she made to the organisation.
During her twenty years with YMCLC, Brenda has witnessed many changes and seen numerous staff members come and go. A significant milestone in Brenda’s career came when she was offered the Training Assistant position. Since then, Brenda has continued to thrive in her role and has now been supporting YMCLC in a full-time capacity for more than five years.
Today, Brenda is a highly valued and integral member of the YMCLC team. She generously shares her knowledge, supports her colleagues, and plays an important role in creating the collaborative and welcoming workplace culture that our staff enjoy. Her commitment, reliability, and positive approach have made a lasting impact on both the organisation and the many people she has worked alongside over the years.
