POV: it’s 4:56pm on a Friday, someone says “quick question,” and Crank the Crocodile has entered the chat. 🐊

Or it’s Monday’s all-staff meeting and Charm is nodding along to a plan they have zero intention of doing. 🦎

Or the new hire’s gone very, very quiet in their first team meeting. Hey, Tully. 🐢

We’ve all watched this play out. We’ve probably all BEEN this, more than once this week alone. 😅

It’s not a personality thing. It’s a nervous system thing. And once a team can name it — actually laugh about it, together — the whole dynamic shifts.

That’s what Meet Your Inner Reptile™ does. 90 minutes, up to 50 people, built around your actual team — not a generic slide deck. Genuinely funny, genuinely useful, grounded in real nervous system science.

✔ A shared language your team will actually use afterwards
✔ Practical tools to get back to Sage — steady, present, un-reptilian — faster
✔ A daily takeaway resource that outlasts the session

If your team’s been running on Crank and Charm energy for a while, let’s fix that — with a few laughs along the way.

Totally agree. Non-verbal communication is everything. Not to discount words as they matter too.

Totally agree. Non-verbal communication is everything. Not to discount words as they matter too.

Culture is not explained in an onboarding deck. It is taught in the first two weeks, in everything nobody bothered to write down.

New employees learn fast whether it is safe to ask questions, admit mistakes, or say they are struggling. They learn it from what actually happens, not from what the handbook says.

Getting the first two weeks right shapes everything that comes after.

What did you learn about a workplace's real culture in your first two weeks there?

Note to self: don’t sit in on guest BNI meetings without cat-proofing the desk first 😅

I was there as a visitor this morning — he decided he was there as co-facilitator.
Didn’t read the agenda.
Didn’t care about the speakers.
Just wanted pats.

Happy Fun Friday everyone — hope your Friday has at least one good interruption in it too. 🧡

Zero regard for the agenda. Full commitment to the cuddle. Iconic.
Happy Fun Friday 🙃🤣

Ever had a moment at work where something small set you off way more than it should have?

It's usually not about what just happened. It's about a personal value quietly being stepped on — often without us even realising it.

Fairness is one of mine — I feel it in my body before I can name it. I also saw this play out recently with a client whose top value is commitment, and who couldn't work out why a new employee's pay rise request was bothering him so much. It wasn't really about the money.

This kind of thing drives so much of the tension we see in teams — and it's becoming a bigger deal than ever, with psychosocial safety now enforceable law across Australia.

Your team isn’t broken. 🧩
They just don’t get each other’s energy yet.

Every team is a mix of Dominant, Influence, Steady + Compliant energy — and when we don’t understand why a teammate communicates, decides or reacts the way they do, trust erodes and friction just becomes “how we work.”

E-DISC Team Unpacks help your team:
🔹 Map your collective energy — strengths + blind spots
🔹 Understand each other’s natural styles
🔹 Turn friction into real conversation
🔹 Build trust + psychological safety
🔹 Walk away with a practical playbook, not just a personality label

This is what high-performing, psychologically safe teams are built on. 💛

Nobody in your last meeting was being difficult. They were being protected. 🐊🦎🐢

Here’s how to catch it — before it runs the whole conversation.

🐊 CRANK (fight) → voice sharpens, speeds up, before you’ve even decided to speak.
The catch: name it — “I’m activated” — then go slower and quieter, on purpose.

🦎 SKYE (flight) → saying yes to the next three things before this one’s finished.
The catch: one breath before you agree. Ask: is this actually mine?

🐢 TULLY (freeze) → goes quiet, blank, “no strong view,” out of nowhere.
The catch: say what you DO know, out loud, even if it’s small.

🦎 CHARM (appease) → smoothing it over before anyone’s even finished being upset.
The catch: pause before you fix. Let it sit for three seconds.

None of these are willpower moves. They’re nervous system moves — small enough to do mid-meeting, with nobody else even noticing.

Save this for your next hard conversation. 📌

For years I thought I needed…

✔ Better time management.
✔ More confidence.
✔ A better plan.

What I actually needed…

…was more capacity.

Because when your nervous system is overwhelmed, everything feels harder than it needs to.

Today, I combine executive coaching with nervous system regulation because I’ve seen firsthand what happens when leaders create more internal capacity.

More clarity.

More confidence.

Better decisions.

Better relationships.

Less reacting.

More leading.

I don’t just help leaders achieve their goals.

I help them build the capacity to achieve them.
