DK Drums Academy has just produced Australia’s largest online drum course which will be available to drummers everywhere now! The Course covers all styles and all levels of playing, from beginner to advanced. The course shows you everything you need to know on your drumming journey from technique, counting, reading and includes learning songs with comprehensive studies on songs. The course is spe

cifically structured to help track each members drumming progress with direct and consistent coaching by Dan Kerby. The website has 5 key pillars:
1. The Course - A step-by-step guide to drumming which gives drummers a scope and scale to help further their playing and knowledge.

2. The Song Vault - This is a collection of drum covers / performances which have live scrolling notation so you can actually see and hear the drumming with the transcription in real time. This brings all elements of learning together to make the process easier for all types of drummers.

3. Drum Transcriptions - Each drum transcription has a PDF download of the notation and 2 correlating videos. Video 1 is the live scrolling notation with the actual song playing the 2nd video is a click and drums only video with the live scrolling notation.

4. Coaching and Accountability - Each member of DK Drums Academy has a direct line to drum coach Dan Kerby, weekly check-ins, member specific challenges and is held accountable by Dan to ensure each member gets exactly what they want out of this platform and this type of coaching :)

5. Community - Join our amazing community of like minded drummers. We have drummers of all abilities and age groups who are currently in our amazing, supportive community. We understand that people learn at different speeds which is why we have built the online platform and made it so students can work through the course at their own pace. Another key part of our teaching method is that we ensure learning the drums with us is FUN. If it’s not fun, there’s no point! All ages are welcome. Huge thanks to for the loan of the VAD716 for this one-off, intimate album launch at .act.newcastle. Aesthetically this kit looks amazing - and feels like the real thing.

We knew the crowd would be right up next to the kit, and an acoustic setup would’ve blown their ears out (especially with how hard I hit 😅). The VAD716 was the perfect solution — and having the show recorded live with zero drum spill in the vocal mics made mixing so much easier.
