South Burnett Performing Arts Academy proudly presents THE CLAW, a heartwarming and hilarious family musical performed by our talented local students aged 4-15 years.

When an out-of-order claw game suddenly springs back to life, the toys inside are thrilled... well, almost all of them.

Dot, a nervous stuffed cow, is terrified of leaving the only home she’s ever known and being separated from her best friend, Aiden. With the help of the Flair Bears, Mighty Mutant Power Turtles, Beanie Elders and the mysterious all-knowing 8-Ball, Dot embarks on a journey of courage, friendship and self-discovery.

Filled with music, dancing, laughter and plenty of heart, THE CLAW is a magical adventure suitable for the whole family.

This production also marks a special milestone for our community, bringing one of the first large-scale children’s musical theatre productions to the Yarraman stage and showcasing the incredible talent, confidence and creativity of our local young performers.

And honestly…

Watching these kids step up, audition, encourage each other, try new things and throw themselves into this production already has us feeling ridiculously proud ❤️

Alright local parents… quick question…

What if your kid got the chance to step onto a REAL stage…

Not in the city.
Not “one day maybe”…

Right here in Yarraman.

Because here’s the thing…

Some kids are naturally confident.
They’re already putting on concerts in the lounge room 😄

But most?

They hang back.
They watch.
They want to join in… but don’t quite take that step.

And honestly… that’s who this is PERFECT for.

We’re putting together a full musical production:

THE CLAW - A Musical Adventure

Not just a class. Not just a few songs.

A full show.

Over two school terms, the kids will:
Learn acting, singing, movement
Make new mates
Build confidence (the kind you can’t fake)
And then perform in real live shows…

Including Nanango Playfest, with proper staging, sound, lighting… the whole deal.

And the story?

It’s gold.

A magical claw machine world where toys are waiting to be picked…

Dot the cow is TERRIFIED of leaving her safe little world…
Aidan the dragon is like “what if there’s something bigger out there?”

(It’s basically shy kids vs brave curiosity in a nutshell 😅)

Every child gets a role.
No experience needed.

AGES 6–17 (younger kids can join with support too)

📍 Rehearsals: Wednesdays 4–5:30pm at Yarraman Memorial Hall
📅 Starts this term (auditions April 29)
🎭 Performances: August 29 + Nanango Playfest in September

It’s $360 for the full production (about $20 a week)… and payment options are available.

THE CLAW – A Musical Adventure

A full-scale, family-friendly musical where local kids rehearse, grow, and perform in multiple live shows - including Nanango Playfest with professional sound and lighting.

Inside the story: the world is a magical claw machine, full of toys waiting to be picked.

Dot, a timid little cow, is terrified of being chosen - leaving the only home she’s ever known.

Her best friend Aidan, a brave little dragon, is curious about what’s outside the glass… and shows her there’s a bigger world to explore.

It’s a story about courage, friendship, and discovering what’s possible when you take a chance.

Every child gets a role.

Every child belongs.
