I am so incredibly proud to see KDA graduate—and my nephew—Dom continuing to shine on stage!

Dom’s love of musical theatre began right here at KDA, and since graduating, he has continued to perform in one production after another.

What an incredible year 2026 has been for him - performing in Jesus Christ Superstar, Mary Poppins, Nerdy Prudes Must Die, Beauty & The Beast, Pirates Of Penzance, South Pacific aboard a Cunard Cruise Tour and now taking on the role of Roger in Rockdale Musical Society’s production of Grease!

It is so special to look back at where his journey began and see the talented performer he has become. His continued success is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do—nurturing a love of performing that our students can carry with them long after they leave KDA.

Congratulations, Dom!
So proud of you and cannot wait to see you bring Roger to life on stage.

HELP MAKE DANCE ELIGIBLE
FOR PLAY ON! VOUCHERS

The Play On! Petition is now live, calling on the Queensland Government to give children who choose dance the same access to Play On! Sports Vouchers as children participating in other eligible activities. Queensland dance families deserve equal access to this financial support.

Dance is more than an activity,
it supports children’s physical health, confidence, creativity, friendships and wellbeing.

The petition closes on Friday 2 October, so we need as many signatures as possible before it is presented to Parliament.

Please help by:

- Signing the petition
- Sharing it with family and friends
- Encouraging others to support QLD’s dance community

Every signature strengthens the message that dance children deserve equal support too! 💗
