This week I celebrate one year since starting The Travelling Tutor. What started as a side business to help a friend with their child soon turned into something that brings me joy each day. In the last 12 months I have:
-Prepared, organised, completed and reviewed 250 hours of tutoring lessons.
-Tutored 22 amazing children.
-Partnered with 15 incredible families.

I feel so blessed that I am now running this business full-time and I wouldn't be here without the support from my lovely tutoring families.

This very quick and easy science experiment is Oobleck.
Mix Cornflour, water and food colouring to create it.
Oobleck is an incredible science experiment as it has two states: liquid and solid. It is a liquid if slowly touched or moved but a solid if moved with force (punched). For example a human can run on oobleck but will sink if they stand still.
Oobleck is scientifically known as a non-Newtonian substance.

Please note: Clean up is very easy but do not put down the sink as it will turn into a solid and block your drain 😉

Welcome back to Term 4 everyone. Hard to believe it is almost the end of the year.

What to expect from Term 4 tutoring:
-Reviewing concepts learnt this year
-Filling any gaps in knowledge
-Introducing concepts taught in following year level

At each students last session for the year I will be giving parents a Glow and Grow Report. This will highlight areas your child has "glowed" and areas where they could grow, as well as how you can support this learning at home.

For current families, please remember to send me your preferences for school holidays. I will be having a couple of weeks off over Christmas/New Year and will be available from early January.

Hi Tutoring Family,

Queenstown was beautiful! We loved our time there, creating memories together. Unfortunately I've come back quite sick. I'm doing everything I can to be ready for tutoring on Tuesday. I hope everyone had a great school holidays.
