Top 3 tips for the English exam:

1- Practice the exam; do past exams (available on VCAA), sample exams, ask your teacher for extra essay questions

2- Write to the time limit. Gone are the days you had weeks to prepare and write and essay. You now have less than an hour for each piece of writing. You should aim to have your practice essays done in 55 minutes each!

3- Don't bother with long quotes. Know key words from your texts you can use liberally in your essays. Eg Gattaca - "valid/invalid", "faith-birth", "borrowed ladder", "success"
