🎄 Merry Christmas everyone 🎄

Today was a bittersweet day at Kinder as our Rosellas and Cockatoos wrapped up the year with a festive feast. It was a lovely way to finish, with plenty of laughter and a few emotional moments too.

To our 4-year-olds heading off to primary school next year- we wish you a smooth and happy transition. It’s never easy to say goodbye, but we’re cheering you on and know you’re ready for this next step.

And to our 3-year-old group- we’re so proud of you. You’ve grown so much this year and really settled into kinder life. It’s been wonderful to see your confidence build, and we look forward to having you back next year.

A big thank you to our amazing educators and staff, supportive parents, and hardworking committee. We really appreciate everything you’ve done this year.

Wishing all our families a safe and happy Christmas break.

𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘀 – 🚒📚⚽ 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝟯 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 ⚽📚🚒
What a term it’s been for our curious, confident, and community-minded Rosellas! Term 3 has been packed with hands-on learning, special visitors, and fun-filled experiences. Here’s a peek at some of our highlights:

🚦 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
The children learned all about staying safe around roads through interactive demonstrations and role-play. It was the perfect foundation as we prepared for our very first big excursion, helping build their awareness and confidence in the wider community.

🚒 𝗖𝗙𝗔 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
Our very first excursion was a huge hit! The Rosellas explored fire trucks, tried on helmets, and even got to use the fire hose- an unforgettable moment! They learned about fire safety, community helpers, and the importance of teamwork. It was a powerful way to bring classroom learning to life.

🏉 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 & 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
Footy Day brought colour, laughter, and plenty of team spirit! The children enjoyed a range of games and sports while exploring the importance of movement, collaboration, and staying active. We also introduced calming mindfulness activities to balance the day and support emotional wellbeing.

🏴‍☠️ 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗣𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆
Imagination took centre stage as the Rosellas followed treasure maps, solved clues, and dived into storytelling adventures. Pirate Day was full of dramatic play, problem-solving, and teamwork- all wrapped up in laughter and creative fun.

📚 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 & 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁
During Book Week, our local librarians visited for an engaging storytime and puppet show. The children were captivated and inspired as they explored the magic of books. Dressing up as their favourite characters made the experience even more special, celebrating creativity and the joy of reading.

💛 From firefighting to pirates, sports to stories- Term 3 has been full of joy, wonder, and meaningful learning for our Rosella group. We are so proud of their growing independence, teamwork, and love for learning. Bring on Term 4!

🌿✨ 𝗖𝗢𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗢𝗦 – 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗠 𝟯 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 ✨🌿

What a vibrant and rewarding journey Term 3 has been for our wonderful Cockatoos! 🐦💚 Our 4-year-olds have continued to flourish, growing in confidence, creativity, and curiosity as they explored both nature and community.

🌱 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗡 & 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗛 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥
A standout moment was visiting the community garden, where we planted violets and decorated rocks – giving our little ones a real sense of pride and ownership.
We also wrapped up our final term of Bush Kinder, a truly special part of our learning journey. From mud pies to leafy forts, the children used nature as their playground- building resilience, problem-solving skills, and deeper peer connections along the way. Tuning into birdsong, the feel of the earth, and seasonal changes created beautiful, calming moments of reflection. 🍃🌼

🚒👮‍♀️ 𝗖𝗙𝗔 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 & 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧
Our community connections continued with a visit to the CFA and a special visit from our local police. The children’s curiosity sparked rich conversations and imaginative play- and helped them understand the important roles of our community helpers.

🏫 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧
We also visited the local primary school, beginning gentle steps towards transition. The Cockatoos were excited and confident, already imagining themselves as future school-goers! 🎒🖍️

🏴‍☠️ 𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗨𝗡
We ended the term with a joyful Pirate Day– full of dress-ups, storytelling, and themed adventures. A fun celebration of everything we’ve achieved this term!

As we look ahead to Term 4, we do so with so much pride. Our Cockatoos aren’t just growing in knowledge- they’re growing in heart, community spirit, and their sense of wonder for the world. 💛🌍
