YGPS students have been aiming high to earn tokens towards a whole-school celebration. Students earn tokens for demonstrating our three expected behaviours:
~ Be Respectful ~
~ Be Safe ~
~ Be a Learner ~

The tokens are then exchanged for pebbles, and displayed on our river mural in the foyer. Once the river is full of pebbles, the students have achieved their goal!

What a perfect day for a play at the local park and an icypole. Well done to each and every student for contributing to this reward.

Spring is in full bloom and the bees are hard at work at Yarra Glen Primary School 🌸

Speaking of bees 🐝 ~ our final working bee for 2025 is this Sunday 16th Nov. We invite our community to come along and lend a hand to keep our school grounds looking beautiful and prepared for summer. Sausage sizzle provided! 9am-12pm.

This year we had a number of students enter the Premier's Reading Challenge. Congratulations to Mav, Surya and Alice W who were all presented with a certificate and badge for completing the Challenge!

A huge shout out to Bunnings Croydon for visiting our school today to spruce up our veggie gardens! The Bunnings team provided all of the materials and worked alongside the students to w**d, prepare the beds and plant a range of fruit and vegetable plants.

We look forward to caring for, harvesting and tasting the crops 🌱 🍓 🥬

Today, five of our Grade 5 students presented at the Respectful Relationships Young Leaders program, facilitated by our friends at Badger Creek Primary School, and hosted at the Healesville Sanctuary.
These Young Leaders have attended several inspiring sessions with other local schools and today each group presented their final projects.
Lucy, Jordyn, Tahlia, Reid and Lachy shared a video they filmed and books they authored/illustrated. Congratulations to everyone involved in this valuable program, and thank you to Mrs Tabone for leading our students.
