Responsible Service of Alcohol Course (RSA)

Year 12 students have the opportunity to undertake an RSA course run by TAFE NSW this Saturday the 17th of September. This course will be run remotely with students at school doing it together in our connected classroom and students that may be at home can do it on a laptop (they will need a camera and microphone). The course will run from 9am-3.30pm and will cost $165. The certificate lasts them 5 years and they are able to obtain it even if they are not yet 18 years old.

MAE Riverina Showcase Day

On Wednesday the 31st of August 14 female students from years 10-12 attended a women in careers day at Casella Wines in Yenda. The day was focussed on opportunities in the manufacturing, agrifoods and electrotechnology industries.

The aim of the Showcase event was to -
* Create greater awareness of career pathways and career information for women
* Contribute to an evidence base for addressing the needs of women undertaking training and apprenticeships
* Enhance partnerships between industry, employers, schools and tertiary providers that support women through traditional and non-traditional career pathways

All students are to be commended on their behaviour and respect shown throughout the day.

YEAR 10 WORK EXPERIENCE UPDATE

I forgot to mention to all year 10 parents that there will be 2 x 1 week work experience blocks.

Term 2 - June 5th - June 9th
Term 4 - TBA

Also all paperwork will need to be handed in by the end of term 1 at the latest.

Mr Cassilles is back in his office!! Come and see me at anytime for any help or assistance you may need. Also 2017 UAC books will be handed out today for all of year 12! If you miss out on getting one there are spares in my office for you to grab. I will also be talking to all of year 12 regarding Uni entry this week.
