☕ Coffee Van This Friday – Final One for the Year!

We’re finishing 2025 with one last coffee treat at assembly on Friday, 12 December.

A huge thank you to Jayne Mitchell Sells Houses who donates coffees for our school community. She will also be there on the day. Make sure you say hello and wish her a very Merry Christmas — her support throughout the year has meant so much.

Under WA road safety laws, only people aged 16 and over are permitted to use eRideables or eBikes with the motor engaged.

Starting Term 1, 2026 (from 2 February), students under 16 years old will not be allowed to use eRideables or eBikes on school grounds.

This applies to all WA public schools to support student safety and ensure compliance with road safety legislation.

🎄 Canteen Update – Final Week of Term🎄

This Friday will be Adele’s last day in the canteen for the year. We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her for all her hard work and dedication throughout 2025.

As we wrap up the term, please note that menu options will be limited. We won’t be holding stock over the Christmas break, so items may sell out as the week goes on.

Keep an eye out for some festive specials available for the rest of the week!

Dear parents and carers

As Chris Ross, who usually looks after the birds, is going on holidays during the break, we need some support in looking after the birds during this period. Our gardener is also on a break during this time. We need someone to provide them with bird seed and make sure that they have enough water. The dates required are as follows;

Friday 19 December
Monday 22 December
Wednesday 24 December (Christmas Eve)
Friday 26 December
Monday 29 December

If you can assist us during this time, it would be sincerely appreciated. Please contact the office and we will organise a time for you to meet with Chris Ross so that you are clear about what needs to occur- and access to the school. If there are number of people willing to help, we could set up a roster so that there is only a small commitment.

Mrs Ross does an amazing job throughout the year and takes on this job without fanfare or recognition. Without her support, this amazing and unique school feature would not be possible. Please contact the office so that we can begin planning during the holiday period.

Be Part of Our 2026 P&C Team!

As we look ahead to a new year, we’re inviting parents and carers to join the Yanchep Lagoon Primary School P&C in 2026. Whether you’re interested in an executive role or would prefer to help in smaller ways throughout the year, we’d love to welcome you.

I will not be running for President next year, which creates a wonderful opportunity for someone new to step into this rewarding position. No previous experience is required — full support and mentoring will be provided for whoever takes on an executive role.
