‼️I do NOT encourage people to stop therapy. This was my clients choice, with no discussion of this decision from me.
Let me give you some context 🫶
My client started personal training with me. 9/10 weeks postnatal, caesarean birth, feeling mentally and physically sluggish but determined.
Throughout the past year, we have seen each other twice per week.
While training her body, we also talk.
This is her safe space.
She allows herself to be vulnerable and honest with herself and authentic.
My client has become aware and mindful of her body through training, AND she has also become more aware and mindful of her SELF and MENTAL HEALTH.
Behaviours, triggers, beliefs, values, goals, support system, places to reach out for extra support, SELF-WORTH, plus more more more!!!
My beautiful client has a history of mental health misdiagnosis and has been on a journey of intentional self-discovery 🫶
She has mentioned feeling like a new person!! A version of herself she hasn't been before.
We started with her foundations. BODY & MIND.
She is now building upon a strong foundation that she was vulnerable enough to go back to basics with and start to build on.
This is why she has left therapy behind. For now.
I say FOR NOW because therapy is important. It's an opportunity for growth. It's important not to avoid things in life but to process, work through, and build upon.
I will always encourage my clients to seek support from a variety of outside sources.
There are many modalities to support your growth. The common denominator is YOU.
YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO GROW 🌿
