Our pre-toddlers headed off on a new adventure to the Pink Bus! 🚌💗 Along the way, we collected some beautiful native plants and explored all the different colours. 🌿🌈

We then popped into Aldi for some fruit, which we later cut up and enjoyed together for afternoon tea. 🍎🍌 A babychino was the perfect treat before we headed back, experiencing the rain along the way! ☕️🌧️

What a wonderful day of exploring, learning and little adventures! 💕

🌼🐦 Exploring Djilba at Vertex! 🌿

The children have been learning about the new season of Djilba, creating beautiful nature-inspired paintings featuring bright wattle flowers. 🌼🎨

They are also showing a growing interest in the native birds that visit our playground, sparking lots of curiosity and conversation! 🐦💛

🌿🦎 Learning about reptiles with Taco! 🦎🎨

The children at Vertex continued their learning about reptiles today with another special visit from our friendly Dragon Lizard, Taco!

Our educators set up a creative art provocation, giving the children the opportunity to observe Taco closely and paint their own colourful interpretations. What a wonderful way to combine nature, curiosity and creativity! 💚🎨

🦷✨ Dental Health Week at Vertex! ✨🦷

Our children had a fantastic time learning about healthy smiles through fun, hands-on experiences! From practising brushing techniques to exploring how we can look after our teeth, the week was full of learning, laughter and plenty of big smiles. 😁🪥

Today our Kindy children had a very special visitor – Taco the Bearded Dragon! 🦎💚 The children loved meeting Taco up close, learning about his habitat, diet and how to care for reptiles. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that sparked curiosity, encouraged respectful interactions with animals, and inspired lots of questions! 🌿✨

🌳🌿 Happy National Tree Day! 🌿🌳

Today our children enjoyed a visit to our local park, where they explored the beautiful natural environment, discovered local flora, and had lots of fun playing together. Experiences like these help nurture a love for nature while encouraging curiosity, exploration and respect for the environment. 💚🍃

❤️💛🖤 Celebrating NAIDOC Week at Atlantis Vertex🖤💛❤️

This week, our children and educators have been celebrating NAIDOC Week through a range of meaningful learning experiences that encouraged curiosity, respect and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Our learning environments were filled with engaging provocations, including sensory play, arts and crafts, Dreamtime stories, and opportunities for children to explore Indigenous symbols and mark making through creative expression.

A special highlight was welcoming J***y, who shared genuine Aboriginal perspectives through hands-on experiences. The children enjoyed learning about native Australian animals, listening to and playing the didgeridoo, and creating artwork inspired by traditional Aboriginal symbols and storytelling.

These experiences provided wonderful opportunities for children to connect with culture, develop respect for Australia's First Nations Peoples, and celebrate the richness of Aboriginal history, knowledge and traditions.

🏀 TAG Sports at Vertex! 🏀

Our children had a fantastic time kicking off their basketball program with TAG Sports! Through fun games and challenges, they practised bouncing, throwing, catching, and shooting while building coordination, confidence, teamwork, and ball skills. It was wonderful to see everyone encouraging each other and enjoying an active morning of learning through play.

We can't wait to see their skills continue to grow over the coming weeks! 🌟
