Our last day of Term 3 was packed full of fun, laughter and plenty of smiles as we celebrated a fantastic term of learning at Yamba Public School!

Today was a wonderful reminder of what makes our school community so special. Seeing so many happy faces, students enjoying themselves, lunch time dance parties, and our school coming together to celebrate was the perfect way to finish the term.

A huge congratulations to our Super Surfer draw winners! We hope you enjoy your fantastic prizes, including new LEGO, cinema passes, handballs and canteen vouchers!

Thank you to our wonderful students, families and staff for making Term 3 such a memorable one. We are so proud of the learning, growth, kindness and effort shown across our school this term.

Have a safe, happy and well-deserved holiday, everyone! Enjoy the break, make some wonderful memories and we’ll see you all refreshed and ready for Term 4! 💙🩵💛

Wednesday, 23 September – $3 Slushies
The SRC will be selling slushies at lunchtime for just $3.

Friday, 25 September – Mufti Day
Students can come dressed in mufti for a gold coin donation, with all funds going towards the purchase of the new Friendship Chair.

What an outstanding day for our Stage 2 and Stage 3 students at today’s Touch Football Gala Day! We are immensely proud of the enthusiasm, sportsmanship, teamwork and resilience demonstrated by our students throughout the day, creating a fantastic atmosphere of participation and school spirit.

A huge thank you to Yamba Touch Football for hosting such a wonderful event and providing our students with an exceptional opportunity to compete, connect and develop their skills.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Maclean High School who officiated with fantastic knowledge and commitment, further developing their leadership qualities while making a significant contribution to the success of the day.

Yamba Public School is excited to be taking part in the Clarence Schools Cane Growing Competition! 🍃

Yesterday, we were incredibly lucky to welcome Farmer Ross Farlow and Allira Robison to our school. They shared their knowledge, stories and experience of the local cane industry with our students and then helped us plant our very own sugar cane in the school garden. 🌱

The cane industry is such an important part of our local community, so it was wonderful for our students to learn more about where our local cane comes from and the people who work so hard within the industry.

What made the visit even more special was that Mr Farlow and Mrs Robison are also much-loved family members of two of our students, Zali and Enzo-their Pop and Aunty! ❤️ How lucky are we to have such wonderful people in our community who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences with our students.

A huge thank you to Mr Farlow and Mrs Robison for giving up your time, sharing your expertise and helping us get our cane growing journey underway! 🌱

And thank you to Mr Paul and our wonderful Garden Club for preparing our garden bed and helping make this experience possible. 🌿

We can’t wait to watch our cane grow! 🍃🤞
