💙 WEEK 4 — MACLEAN 💙
Strengthening those core skills 🐟

I’m so incredibly proud of my girls!
They have been fantastic in ensuring every child is receiving the very best swim lesson, while working within the framework, expectations and progressive skill sets I’ve created for Little Fish.

I’ve given my girls the freedom and trust to teach, make decisions within their classes and bring their own personalities to the pool — while still delivering the Little Fish programme exactly as I expect it to be taught.
And they are absolutely shining. 💙

This week our focus moves into strengthening those core skills.

We’re taking what we’ve already built across the first three weeks — body position, confidence, independence, breathing and efficient movement — and now making those skills stronger, more consistent and more natural.

You’ll see plenty of repetition, gentle correction, encouragement and opportunities for your child to practise their skills again and again.

Because progress doesn’t always mean adding something new.

Sometimes the biggest progress comes from making what we already know stronger, easier and more independent.

Growing skills. Building confidence. Loving the water.

💙 Week 3 Focus: Breathing & Movement

This week we’re building on the strong foundations from Weeks 1 and 2 by bringing breathing and movement together.

Through repetition, familiar cues and gentle encouragement, children develop smoother movement, stronger body position and growing confidence in the water.

Every cuddle kick, float, breath cue and swim is helping build muscle memory that lasts a lifetime.

Keep using your teacher’s verbal cues at home—they’re one of the most powerful ways to support your child’s progress between lessons.

Together, we’re creating confident, capable and water-safe children.

Week 2 is here, and it’s time to start building on the foundations we’ve already begun in previous lessons.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll see our teachers carefully reading your child’s body language, verbal and non-verbal cues, and responding to them with purpose. Every smile, hesitation, reach, glance, and moment of confidence tells us something. By working together with you, we’ll progressively nurture your child’s independence in a way that feels safe, enjoyable, and achievable.

💡Expect to see the use of songs, gentle encouragement, familiar routines, and repeated movement patterns.
💭Repetition builds confidence, confidence builds competence, and strong muscle memory creates children who feel capable in the water.

Our familiar team is here to guide your family through the cooler months and into the warmer season ahead 💭where the independence we’ve been carefully growing will begin to take flight.

Your commitment to your child’s learning will soon become visible in the most rewarding ways. You’ll see them exploring more confidently, making their own choices, and inviting you to be part of their adventures.🩵

Swimming together creates bonds that become the foundation of independence, and we feel incredibly privileged to be part of that journey with your family.

💙 Rare Goldfish Availability! 💙

📅 Wednesdays | 2:00pm
📍 Starting next week

Designed for toddlers 18–24 months, Goldfish introduces little ones to the water through play, movement and confidence-building experiences. Together we’ll explore floating, breath control, gentle submersions and the foundations that lead to a lifelong love of the water.

Classes are intentionally kept small, so opportunities like this don’t come around often.

Send us a message to secure your place with Miss Dani before it’s gone! 💙🐟

Our incredible Maclean team are taking a well-earned little break before we dive back into the pool for another exciting term.
🐟🐠🐬

Behind every lesson is so much more than 30 minutes in the water. There are programmes to write, skills to review, goals to set and children to plan for. Every class is thoughtfully prepared long before our teachers step onto pool deck.

We are so grateful for this amazing team. Their care, consistency and passion are what make Little Fish such a special place for so many families. They celebrate every milestone, encourage every child and genuinely love watching confidence grow week after week.
🩵
After a short chance to rest, reset and spend time with their own families, they’ll be back ready for 9 weeks of learning, laughter and progress.

We can’t wait to welcome all of our Maclean families back for Term 3. 💙🐟

💙 Less than 3 weeks until Term 3 begins! 💙

The countdown is on, and there’s one simple thing you can do before lessons start…

Take your child to an indoor pool.

Not for a swimming lesson.
Not to correct them.
Not to make them practise.

🩵Just play.

Let them choose the games. Let them show you their favourite jump, kick, splash or float—even if it seems like a very basic skill to you.

When your child says, “Watch me!”, they’re inviting you into their magical world. They aren’t looking for perfection; they’re looking for connection.

A little time in the water before term starts can:
🐠 Rebuild confidence after the break.
🐠 Help them feel comfortable in the water again.
🐠 Keep those familiar movements fresh.
🐠 Create happy, positive memories that they’ll bring back into lessons.
🐠 Remind them that swimming is fun, not something to be nervous about.

Talk excitedly about coming back to Little Fish. Ask them what they remember, what they loved, and what they’d like to show their teacher this term.

The best preparation isn’t perfection—it’s confidence, connection and enjoying the water together.

We can’t wait to welcome all of our Little Fish families back for another wonderful term. 💙
