What a fun Friday! Congratulations to our Principal and Aṉangu Coordinator award, class award and attendance award winners! We love all the great learning and positive behaviours that have been displayed around the school. Also thank you for everyone showing up to shop at Yalata Threads, we have raised almost $500 in two weeks!

Join us today for the opening of Yalata Threads from 12. The kipara class yard will be open with a fire and for some story telling and we will finish with an assembly before home time.

Led by Andrew, the Junior Rangers worked together to care for Country, cleaning up rubbish that had washed onto Dog Fence Beach.

They collected around 100 kilograms of rubbish, helping protect the coastline and keep the beach clean for the community and visitors to enjoy.

Junior Rangers will be heading to Dog Fence tomorrow for a beach clean up. Leaving 10 am, back at 3:00 pm.

Next Monday Benny Mayhem Band will be doing free workshops for all ages in Yalata from 1:30-3:30. This will follow with a concert and a BBQ dinner! Great activity for all on the school closure day.

Benny Mayhem Band is coming to Yalata on Monday 7 September, including Community BBQ in the Community Square.

1:30pm–2:00pm
All Ages Touring Musician Workshop
Suitable for all ages, including young people in their 20s who may be interested in developing their career in music.

2:00pm–3:30pm
Youth Music Workshop
Suitable for ages 6 and up.

5:00pm–8:00pm | Community Concert
6:00pm | Community BBQ

Come down to the Community Square and enjoy an afternoon and evening of live music
