With the wet weather this week, the Dinam room have been exploring the world around them through a sensory tray. We dug through sand and leaves to find the Aussie animals!

Sesory play is a great way to help children learn and develop in many ways. It helps them develop their senses, build nerve connections in their brains, and learn about the world around them.
Sensory play allows children to learn:
Problem solving: Children learn to solve problems by experimenting and making connections
Critical thinking: Children learn to think critically and ask questions
Memory: Children develop their memory and observation skills
Fine motor skills: Children develop the small muscles in their hands, wrists, and fingers
Coordination: Children improve their coordination through activities like scooping or picking up small objects
Vocabulary: Children learn new words to describe their experiences
Communication: Children develop their communication skills through conversation with others
Emotional regulation: Sensory play can help calm children who are angry or anxious
Social interaction: Children develop their social skills through play with others

We are passionate about educating our children to know the importance and benefits of healthy choices and nutritious meals.
We are looking for a fun and energetic person to join our kitchen team here at The Beach Early Learning Centre Wyong. You will be responsible for food ordering, stocktake and serving delicious meals to our beautiful children.
The position is 14 hours a week - Mondays and Fridays. Hospitality skills are a bonus but not essential. We offer professional development in food safety as well as networking with kitchen staff within our community.
