🔴⚪ WHERE’S WALLY?! ⚪🔴

There was certainly no trouble finding Wally at Valley View today… they were EVERYWHERE! 👀😂

Our staff transformed into a sea of red and white stripes for our Book Week celebrations, and oh, what fun we had! 📚❤️

From Wallys in the playground to Wallys in the classrooms, our teachers and staff embraced the Book Week spirit and helped make the day extra special.

We’re not sure we’ve ever seen this many Wallys in one place! 🔎❤️🤍

🧸 Calling all our 2027 Kindergarten families!🧺

Something beary special is coming to Valley View! 🐻

Join us for our Teddy Bears’ Picnic on Tuesday 15 September - a fun and relaxed morning for our future Kindergarten students and their families to come along, explore Valley View and start getting to know our school community.

🐻 Bring along your favourite teddy
🎶 Enjoy some songs, dancing and fun
🧺 Share a picnic morning tea
💛 Meet some new friends along the way!

A special Teddy Bears’ Picnic morning tea order will also be available through the canteen. Details will be emailed to all enrolled families. If you would like an order form sent to you, please contact the school office.

Please RSVP by Thursday 10 September by calling the school office on 4328 4433.

Aboriginal Art with Kylie Cassidy

Valley View has been incredibly lucky to have Kylie Cassidy working with us over the past two weeks to create some very special, personalised artworks for our school.

Last week, Kylie worked alongside our Aboriginal students to create three beautiful pieces, celebrating culture, connection and the stories of our students.

This week, Kylie returned for an exciting whole-school project, creating a piece that every student across Valley View had the opportunity to contribute to. We love that this artwork holds a little piece of students and staff in our school community.

These beautiful artworks will now become a lasting part of Valley View and will be proudly displayed throughout our school, including in our library and Cultural Room.

A huge thank you to Kylie for sharing her time, creativity, knowledge and culture with our students. We are so excited to see these incredible pieces take their place around our school!

Under the Sea Disco Fun!

What an AMAZING night under the sea! From the music and dancing to the sea of smiling faces, our students had an absolute blast!

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful Valley View P&C for organising such a fun event for our students and families. We are so lucky to have a P&C who put so much time and effort into creating special experiences for our school community.

Thanks to everyone who came along, danced the night away and helped make our Under the Sea Disco such a fantastic night!

The kids aren’t the only ones invited to get into the Book Week spirit this year!

Parents and carers, we’d LOVE to see you come along to our Book Parade dressed as your favourite book character and show off your costume alongside the students!

And of course… siblings are absolutely invited to dress up too!

Go all out, keep it simple, raid the dress-up box or create something at home - it’s all about joining in the fun and celebrating our love of books together.

Because Book Week is definitely not just for the kids! 😉📚✨

Book Week 2026 is Almost Here!

We can't wait to celebrate a week filled with books, imagination and a love of reading! Here's everything you need to know.

📖 Book Parade
🗓 Tuesday 25 August
🕘 9:15am

Dress Up: Come dressed as a character from your favourite book! Students can remain in costume for the day. Please ensure your child wears enclosed footwear and has warm, seasonally appropriate clothing to wear over their costume if needed.

Book Fair
Our Book Fair will be open across three days - please see previous post.
This is a fantastic opportunity to discover some wonderful new books while supporting our school library.

We can't wait to celebrate the magic of reading with our Valley View community!
