HELP US CELEBRATE OUR TEACHING GEMS!

Every school has its gems, and at Valley View Public School, we think we're pretty lucky to have so many!

To celebrate World Teachers’ Day on Friday 30 October, we're inviting our Valley View community to recognise the amazing teachers who inspire, encourage and make a difference every day.

🌟 Is there a teacher who has made your child feel special?
🌟 Someone who has gone above and beyond?
🌟 A teacher who has left a lasting impression?

Now is your chance to give them a shout-out!

The NSW Teaching Gems Map is a statewide celebration of wonderful teachers, and we'd love to see Valley View shining brightly!

💎 Visit the World Teachers' Day website https://world-teachers-day-map.nesa.nsw.edu.au/

💎 Click 'Message' and enter our school postcode 2250.

💎 Add your teacher's initials and a short message about why they're a gem!

All messages are anonymous, and submissions close at 10am on Monday 2 November.

Let's fill the map with a little Valley View love!

World Teachers’ Day in NSW recognises primary, secondary and early childhood teachers across the education system. Learn when it’s celebrated in NSW.

Sydney North PSSA Athletics Championships

Yesterday, Will D and Indi B travelled to Sydney Olympic Park to represent Valley View Public School and the Brisbane Water PSSA Zone at the Sydney North PSSA Athletics Championships.

Both students competed in the 100m sprint and performed remarkably well, giving it their all and doing themselves, our school and our zone incredibly proud!

The Sydney North region is one of the strongest sporting regions in NSW, stretching from Morisset all the way down to the northern side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The competition is fast, fierce and incredibly strong, with the very best young athletes from across the region competing. For Will and Indi to make it all the way to this level is a huge achievement in itself. To then step onto the track at Sydney Olympic Park and compete against such talented athletes is something they should be extremely proud of.

A big thank you also to Mrs Harpur and Miss Wheeler, who attended the carnival as officials and helped make the day a success.

The Sydney North Championships mark the end of our three major athletics carnivals for the year - and what a year it has been for Valley View! We have seen so many of our students challenge themselves, achieve personal bests, represent our school and zone, and celebrate the success of their teammates throughout the athletics season.

Congratulations, Will and Indi - we are incredibly proud of you both!

What a fantastic way to finish a wonderful athletics season!
