While everyone else was resting, a group of Iona students spent the final two days of their school holidays competing in the inaugural United Nations Youth Climate Concord.

Iona was invited to take part in this first-of-its-kind event, which challenged students to step into the role of international delegates and use negotiation, debating and diplomacy to respond to climate challenges across Asia, the Pacific and Oceania.

Congratulations to our Ionians for embracing this opportunity to explore different perspectives, strengthen their skills and consider how they can contribute to a better world. A wonderful example of service and learning beyond the classroom!

Iona looks forward to participating in more opportunities that UN Youth Australia has on offer.
