Zen Ken Ren Iaido Embu by Harada Sensei at last month's Kyoto Taikai. I missed this due to getting myself together in the assembly area. Interestingly, he doesn't seem to have a sageo.

From today’s lesson:
One of the things I believe is very important, is maintaining good posture with proper core engagement and a strong center line through the body.
Good posture helps release unnecessary tension.
It not only makes both standing and sitting posture appear more graceful and beautiful, but also helps reduce fatigue and can prevent shoulder stiffness and lower back pain.
When your posture improves, your breathing naturally becomes deeper. Deeper breathing can lead to better quality sleep, and deep sleep helps the body restore and rebalance itself.
I hope you will incorporate this not only into tea practice, but also into your everyday life 😊

私が思う大切なことの1つ。
それは体幹を使って身体に軸が入る良い姿勢。
良い姿勢は無駄な力が抜け、立ち姿や座り姿が美しく見えるだけでなく、疲れにくく、肩こりや腰痛の予防にも繋がります。
良い姿勢になることで、呼吸が深くなります。
呼吸が深くなると、深い睡眠ができるようになります。
深い睡眠は身体が整うことに繋がります。
是非、茶道以外の普段の生活にも取り入れていただきたいです😊
