Our Performance Team is made up of passionate KDA dancers who love performing, learning and creating together! 🩷

Throughout the year, our team has the opportunity to take their dancing beyond the studio and perform at community events, Eisteddfods, festivals and special occasions around the Bayside.

From learning new choreography and developing their performance skills, to working together as a team and building confidence on stage — there’s so much more to Performance Team than just dancing! 💫

We love watching our dancers grow in confidence, support one another and create memories together both on and off the stage. 🥰

And now… they’re getting ready to bring something VERY special to the Wynnum Halloween Festival! 🎃👻

You definitely won’t want to miss this one! Stay tuned for the performance time. 🕷️✨

One of our favourite things about KDA isn’t just what happens on the stage… it’s what happens between our dancers. 🤍

From our tiniest dancers looking up to the older girls, to our seniors encouraging the little ones, there is something so special about the way our dancers care for one another.

Our dancers celebrate each other’s achievements, cheer each other on, help each other backstage and create friendships that stretch across ages and classes. 🩰✨

It’s a culture we are incredibly proud of, one where our dancers feel supported, included and part of something bigger than themselves.

And watching our dancers grow up together, support one another and become friends along the way is one of the most special parts of what we do.

This is the KDA difference. ✨

✨ CONCERT COSTUME CARE GUIDE ✨

The countdown to our end of year concert is on! 🩰💗 And while we’re busy getting our dancers stage-ready, we want to make sure their costumes stay looking just as beautiful as the day they came home.

From storing costumes safely to keeping food and drinks away (because accidents happen 😅), there are a few simple things you can do to help protect all those beautiful details, sequins, embellishments and accessories.

Swipe through our guide for our top tips and save this post for concert week! 🎭✨

A little bit of care goes a long way in keeping your costume concert-ready. 💕

3 things we hear from our KDA parents all the time 🤍✨

✨ “It feels like a family.”
✨ “My child feels so comfortable being themselves here.”
✨ “Everyone knows everyone it’s such a lovely environment.”

And honestly… this is exactly what we hope for at Kelleher’s Dance Academy. 🥹

Yes, we’re passionate about quality dance training, but we’re just as passionate about creating a place where every dancer feels welcomed, supported, encouraged and proud to be part of the KDA family. 🩷

Because the environment your child learns in matters just as much as the steps they learn. 🩰

✨ HAVE YOU GOT OUR IMPORTANT CONCERT DATES IN YOUR CALENDAR? ✨

As we get closer to concert, please make sure all important concert dates and rehearsals are in your calendar! 🗓️💕

It’s really important that all concert participants are in attendance for their scheduled rehearsals. Our concert is a professional show, and we want every KDA dancer to walk onto that stage feeling confident, prepared and proud of everything they’ve worked so hard on! ✨

Rehearsals are an important part of putting the whole show together - learning spacing, entrances, exits, transitions and making sure everyone feels confident with their routines.

📧 Please refer to the concert email sent to families for the full breakdown of rehearsal times for each age group. There is lots of important information included, so please have a read through and save the relevant dates and times.

We know life gets busy, but where possible, please prioritise these important rehearsals so our dancers can be as prepared as possible for show day. 💗

Let’s get our dancers stage-ready! 🌟

✨ SO PROUD OF OUR DANCERS! ✨

A huge congratulations to all of our dancers who recently completed their Comdance Jazz exams! 💕🩰

You all worked so incredibly hard in the lead-up, putting in the time, effort and dedication during your preparations, and it definitely showed! 🌟

We hope you take a moment to recognise just how much you’ve achieved and be so proud of yourselves. We are certainly proud of each and every one of you! 🥹💗

Well done, dancers! You should be so proud! ✨
