HAPPY FATHER'S DAY // Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures in our King’s Community. Today, and every day, we celebrate the men who lead with love, serve with humility, and encourage their children to grow in faith, character and integrity. We give thanks for the lasting impact they have on the lives of their families and our wider school community.

“The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” (Proverbs 20:7)

MIDDLE SCHOOL // Lip Sync Battles. Charades. Switch Racing. Big energy. Bigger House pride!

Our Middle School students brought the fun today for an epic House Day! Students jumped in with their Houses for a day packed with creativity, laughs, teamwork and some very friendly competition, all while building connection, strengthening House culture and celebrating the amazing God-given gifts and talents within our Middle School community.

After battling it out throughout the day, the best of the best made it through to the afternoon Grand Finals, where the whole Middle School came together to cheer, laugh and back their House all the way.

And the bragging rights go to… BRIMBLECOMBE! 🏆👏

Of course, House Day is about much more than taking home the trophy. It’s about having a go, backing your mates, discovering new talents and creating those brilliant moments of connection and camaraderie that make Middle School such a great place to be.

Safe to say...the House spirit was STRONG today!

BOOK WEEK // On Friday, our Middle School came alive to celebrate Book Week 2026: Symphony of Stories, with an outstanding display of creativity, enthusiasm and King's spirit. Students and staff embraced the occasion, dressing as a wonderful range of characters and bringing some much-loved stories to life. Our Middle School Captains led a fantastic Book Week Bonfire, featuring a series of fun activities. A highlight was our very own Gangsta Granny, Mrs McEvan, while Mr McDonald and Ms Pace also joined the fun by delivering entertaining book pitches, each attempting to convince the Middle School audience that their chosen title deserved to be crowned the greatest book of all time! It was an uplifting day filled with positivity, laughter and great energy, and we were incredibly impressed by the effort students put into their costumes and participation. Most importantly, it was a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of reading, the power of storytelling and the many stories that connect and inspire us.

BOOK WEEK // Last week, as part of our Book Week celebrations, our Early Years and Junior School Student Leaders were excited to action their book sale. They were so thankful to all the families who donated a book, or purchased a book as part of the sale. The Student Leaders were at school early to help set up the books, ready to welcome Early Years and Junior School students. Before the sale, Student Leaders helped to collect and sort books. They also practised counting coins and customer service skills! All funds raised will go to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. These funds help to support Indigenous authors and help get books to children living in remote communities. We are thankful to the King's Community for making this a success!

We've shared our full photo gallery from the morning over on the King's App.

BOOK WEEK // A Symphony of Stories came to life at King's! One of the most magical days of the year arrived as our students celebrated Book Week 2026, bringing their favourite stories and characters to life! With this year’s theme, 'Symphony of Stories', our school was filled with creativity, imagination and a whole lot of excitement as students stepped into the pages of their favourite books and attended the much-loved Book Week Parade. At King's, we love celebrating the joy of reading and the way stories inspire us to dream, create and see the world in new ways. A huge thank you to our families for helping make the day so special - we loved seeing our community come together for this celebration of books, storytelling and imagination.

SCIENCE WEEK // National Science Week came to life last week, when some of our students were treated to an energetic and exciting visit from Nitro Nat. Through an interactive presentation packed with colour, chemical reactions and plenty of surprises, students had the chance to see science in action and discover just how much fun chemistry can be. It was a memorable experience that sparked curiosity, wonder and plenty of excitement, reminding our students that science can be messy, surprising and incredibly fun!

See all the science fun from our incursion in our full photo gallery - available on the King's App.

KING'S DANCE // We’re revisiting the excitement of the CheerCon Dance Competition, where 87 King’s dancers took to the stage at the Adelaide Convention Centre. After two terms of out-of-school-hours rehearsals, our students had the chance to bring their routines to life in front of a large audience. It was particularly wonderful to see our dancers grow in confidence as they supported each other, worked together as teams and celebrated each other’s achievements. Every King’s routine placed in the competition, making for an incredible weekend of results and plenty to be proud of.
