Wyndham City has called on budding conservationists to create sculptures that raise awareness about the impact of rubbish on our environment and endangered animals.

We are incredibly proud that St Joseph’s has entered two artworks created through our STEM program, highlighting the plight of the Helmeted Honeyeater and Tasmanian Devil.

The artworks are part of a community display at the Pacific Werribee Library and are available to view this week, closing Sunday, 6 September.

We would love your support! If you are visiting Pacific Werribee, pop into the library, check out the amazing student artworks and help us celebrate the creativity and conservation efforts of our students.

What a wonderful morning we shared at St Joseph’s as we came together for our Father’s Day Breakfast and Prayer Service.

It was a beautiful opportunity for our students and families to spend time together, enjoy a delicious breakfast and celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, father figures and special people who play such an important role in the lives of our children.

Our prayer service gave us a chance to pause and give thanks for the love, guidance, encouragement and support these special people provide each day.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this morning and to the staff and volunteers who helped make the morning so special.

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful father figures in our St Joseph’s community!

Tomorrow, some of our St Joseph’s students will be showcasing their fantastic STEM learning focused on fighting extinction and protecting our precious wildlife.

We’d love our school community to get behind this exciting opportunity and celebrate the creativity, problem-solving and ideas our students have developed through their learning.

As Father’s Day approaches, we’re proud to once again celebrate the important role that dads, father figures and significant men play in the lives of our children.

At St Joseph’s, we are proud to partner with The Fathering Project, an organisation committed to helping fathers and father figures build stronger connections with their children through simple, meaningful and fun experiences.

Whether it’s kicking a footy, sharing a meal, having a chat, reading a book or simply spending time together, the little moments matter.

We invite all dads and father figures in our school community to join our St Joseph’s Fathering Project group.

Today, we join people around the world in prayer and reflection for our beautiful common home.

We are reminded that creation is a precious gift from God and that we all have a responsibility to care for our planet and one another.

May we take time today to notice the beauty of creation, give thanks for its gifts and consider how our everyday choices can help protect our common home.

Let us pray for the courage to care for creation and for a future where all people and all of creation can flourish.
