Happy Feast of St Joseph!
Today, we honor the humble and righteous St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus and the patron saint of workers, fathers, and families. His unwavering faith, strength, and devotion to his family serve as an inspiring example for us all. St. Joseph, pray for us!

This week was Catholic Education Week and the theme was 'In the light of Christ'.
Our student leaders today went to the mass for schools at St Patricks Cathedral followed by a concert in the park. What a wonderful end to an important week.

If you’re heading to the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show next week, stop by the Sustainable Scarecrow competition. Meet “Gobata” the St Joseph’s entry. “Gobata” (meaning take care in Wadawurrung) has been created by the students and is decorated with many references to the beautiful land our school is built on. If you stop by, put in a people’s choice vote for our entry!

It was wonderful to see students donning their yellow gloves today for Clean Up Australia Day for schools. It’s fantastic to see so many rubbish free lunchboxes throughout the school. Students across all year levels are learning about recycling and we have just labeled three new bins inside the gates near the bike shed. These bins are for bread bags, any plastic plant pots you may have left over from gardening and 10c recyclable plastic bottles, cans or tetra packs. Please note students should only bring reusable drink bottles to school.

School Arrivals, Playground After School
Just a reminder that students are not supervised before 8:30 am. A number of students are arriving from 7:50 am and playing out the front of the school or coming on to school grounds. The traffic supervisor has raised concerns about student safety and no parent supervision. As of tomorrow morning, the gates near the bike shed will be locked from 8am and students will only be able to come through the gates at 8:30am. We thank you for your support in keeping your children safe.

In regards to playing on the playground, families are asked not to allow children to play on the school playground after 3:10 due to no staff supervision. After 3:10, any injuries sustained are not covered by our insurance company. Staff on yard duty will remind you to move on.

27/02/2024

A reminder that we have our Enrolment Information Evening tomorrow night. Please feel welcome to come along if you’re seeking to be a part of our community for 2025.

Look how lucky our Year 5/6's were today to have Ash from Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation out today talking about Aboriginal culture, history and sharing the language and some artifacts with us. Thanks to Lendlease for organising such a great experience for us all to share.
