🦎🐍 WOW what a fun REPTILE ENCOUNTER that we had on last Wednesday! 🐸

We were super excited to welcome WOW Reptile Encounters to our preschool. During this fun and educational visit, the children met a variety of non venomous snakes, lizards and frogs. This interactive experience encouraged the children to learn about reptiles, develop an appreciation for wildlife and build important snake safety awareness. We also touched base on a snakebite first aid demonstration for all.

The children had the opportunity to gently touch some of the reptiles before painting their own snake or lizard keepsake to take home.

🌟 Happy Early Childhood Educators Day! 🌟

Today we celebrated our truly wonderful educators and staff and thanked them for the incredible work they do each and every day. Our team was treated to a delicious spread of sweet and savoury goodies, a special lunch and a little gift to remind them just how valued they are! 💐🎁

To our amazing educators and staff - thank you for the love, patience, kindness and comfort you give so freely. Thank you for the laughter you create, the learning you inspire and the countless special moments you share with our children. The difference you make in the lives of every child and family is immeasurable and never forgotten! 🌈💕

Your dedication means more than words. You are valued, you are appreciated and everything you do never goes unnoticed.

Book Week for 2026 is coming our way.

Week Beginning 24 August

"Symphony of Stories"

Children who are read to regularly can hear an estimated 1.4 million more words than those who are not read to. We at WWPCCC endeavour to promote literacy in all aspects of our program, please help your child hear more words by sharing their favourite book with us during Book Week.

We also encourage dressing up as a way to promote a conversation that allows each child to engage with literature in a positive and fun way. Dressing up is fun and centre dress ups will be available to the children during this week.

This week the children have been involved in evacuation drills. This has involved leaving the centre, holding the rope and walking to the safe evacuation point. The children have been answering to their names to respond that they are safely out of the building.

PLEASE REMIND YOUR CHILD THAT ANSWERING THEIR TEACHERS IN ESSENTAIL FOR THEIR SAFETY WHEN COMPLETING EVACUATION DRILLS.

After the evacuation drill, the children then proceeded into a lockdown. This encourages the children engage in quiet activities as well as practicing staying calm and quiet until the drill is declared over.

💗 Thank You for Helping Us Make a Difference! 💗

A huge thank you to our amazing preschool families, friends and community for supporting our PJs for Hope Pyjama Day fundraiser.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised $330 for The Pyjama Foundation. Every dollar helps provide children in foster care with opportunities to learn, grow and thrive through the Life Story Program.

We are so grateful for everyone who donated, wore their favourite pyjamas, shared a smile and helped support this wonderful cause. Together, we showed our children the power of kindness, compassion and giving back.

💖 PJ’s for Hope is underway! 💖

This week our preschool is proudly supporting National Pyjama Day to help raise funds for children in foster care.

Every donation, big or small, helps make a difference. If you’d like to support our team, we’d be so grateful. Together, we can bring a little extra hope, comfort and care to children who need it most. 🧸🩷

We have currently raised $173 out of our $500 goal. Thank you for your kindness and generosity so far. It is greatly appreciated!

💛 A Heartfelt Thank You 💛

We would like to extend a huge thank you to one of our wonderful neighbours for their incredibly generous donation of books to our preschool community last night.

Thanks to your kindness, we have new special books for both our rooms and our Share the Love community library has been beautifully stocked with books for families to enjoy. Reading opens the door to imagination, learning and connection, and your generosity will bring joy to many children and families in our community.

Thank you for helping us create a space where books can be shared, treasured and loved. Your kindness is truly appreciated and is a wonderful reminder of the caring community we’re so lucky to be part of.

Welcome to the WWPCCC team, Annie! 😊

Please help us welcome Annie to the team. Annie is our new Diploma trained staff member who will be working part time in both rooms covering book time and programming time for the girls on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Annie has 16 years experience as well as two years experience in Primary School in China. She has a love and passion for children and there development and has a little 4 year old boy of her own. Annie loves spending time with children and having fun with them through reading books, groups times and music and movement. She also enjoys playing the accordian and is happy to bring it in occasionally to play for us.

Please don’t hesitate to come say hello and introduce yourself!
