Our Term 3 lunch clubs are in full swing! These have been so well received by our students. This is a great opportunity to talk to your child about their interests and which lunch clubs they have been going along to and trying out.

A very well done to Year 4 students Heath and Leo who ran a writing workshop at our new Library Thursday Club. They were such inspiring student teachers, for this thoroughly imaginative session.

Very special shoot out to Year 5 student Gabriella, who's Futsal journey has taken her international in recent weeks. After competing in the Futsal Gala Day at a school level, Gabby was selected for the Northern NSW team, taking her to the National Futsal Championships in Brisbane & Penrith. As a result of her brilliant commitment and efforts, she was then selected to represent Australia at the Australian Futsal Association International Tour in China.

Over the past two weeks, Gabby has had the incredible opportunity to compete in China against teams from across the country. She even played up, in the U12 Girls division, competing against girls up to two years older than her.

A big congratulations Gabriella from all of us at SJB! You have embraced every challenge and represented Australia (and the Woy Woy Peninsula) with such pride. Such an inspiration to us all.

💙 Mary Mac's M***i Day Fundraiser - Friday, 7 August 2026 💙

This Friday, in conjunction with Mary MacKillop's Feast Day, we will be supporting Mary Mac's Place in Woy Woy and Dom's Place in Hornsby. These CatholicCare services provide practical support, meals and a welcoming community for men, women and families experiencing homelessness or social isolation.

All students are invited to wear m***i clothes to school and are asked to bring a cash donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help these vital services continue their important work in our local community.

Alternatively, families who wish to make a donation online can do so directly through CatholicCare's donation website.

Families are also warmly invited to join us for our Mary MacKillop Feast Day Liturgy at 9:15am.

Last Friday Dr Gordon Reid, our local Federal member visited Year 5 and 6 to discuss the many facets of his job as the member for Robertson.

Our students asked some excellent questions and received some really inspiring answers. SJB's Year 6 students shared their enriched knowledge of Parliament after their recent excursion and Year 5 showed great enthusiasm for their Canberra visit next year.

Year 4 started the Term with a whole lot of excitement, travelling to The Rocks in Sydney for their adventurous grade excursion! Here, they took part in a unique Big Dig Archaeology experience. Our students had an amazing hands on learning experience, examining rocks and artefacts, understanding the lives of early settlers in The Rocks in the early 1800's. Well done Year 4 ⛏⭐
