Somewhere between the last day of leave and the first alarm of your new routine, going back to work stops being just a logistics problem - it's an emotional one too. If you're feeling relief, excitement, guilt and everything in between, you're not doing it wrong.

Here's what actually helps in those first few weeks:

🗓️ Book in trial days before your official start, so drop-off isn't a total unknown
🍼 Sort your feeding plan early, with your centre and your employer
💬 Talk to your educators early - the small stuff matters (comfort items, nap windows, the words your child uses)
💰 Know what's changed: since January 2026, CCS-eligible families get at least 3 days of subsidised care a week, guaranteed
🤝 Ask about flexible working before you're back, not after

We had such a lovely Easter afternoon tea in our Dreamers room today 🐰🌼

It was so special having our families join us as the children enjoyed some yummy food, fresh fruit and little treats together. These moments are always so nice for building connections, not just between the children but with our families too 💛

The children also explored some fun Easter activities throughout the afternoon, from messy sensory play to decorating eggs and getting creative 🎨🥚

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a relaxed and happy afternoon, we loved sharing this time with you all ✨
