Deadly Work from Kylie with the new mural and sport house totems at Woy Woy Public

Woy Woy Public School mural is coming along nicely and the school house groups are looking amazing!

It’s been such a joy bringing these house totems to life — Walambang, Gudumung, Wiramin and Gugandi.

I love seeing the space transform as the colours and stories come together. Can’t wait for the students to enjoy it! 🎨✨

Such sad news

There will be a massive hole left in our community with the passing of Aunt. She gave up so much of her time to share her knowledge and stories across our school community.

She would walk into schools and it would be like a celebrity getting swarmed by the students all wanting to say Hello to her.

You will be missed dearly by many across the Peninsula!

Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Yesterday we said goodbye to Nan.

Most of you know Nan - she was a community leader, Aboriginal Elder, trade unionist, and tireless social justice activist.

She loved her family, her faith, and her country - it was her guidance that shaped the lives of many - including my own.

I love you Nan.

May you rest in eternal peace.

Umina Beach Public School The local community are invited to attend the turning of the ground for the new Umina Beach Public School Preschool, including a Smoking Ceremony and special cultural performance. This marks an important step in creating a safe and engaging learning space for our youngest learners! We hope you will join us on Monday 2nd Feb at 12pm.

Umina Beach Public School Preschool "Turning of the Ground Cremony"

This invite is open to any community members that would like to come along and mark the beginning of this milestone for UBPS.

There will be a Smoking Ceremony and a performance by the Aboriginal Dance Group.

Thanks to everyone that came along and celebrated the achievements of our young ones!

It was great to see everyone come together and enjoy the afternoon especially with the not so great weather between the wind, rain and heat.

Hope everyone has a great holiday break and we'll see you all again next year.
