Yesterday, our students in 2/3 and 3A had the wonderful opportunity to learn about Japanese culture with Sensei! This experience will support their upcoming English assessment, where students will create an imaginative narrative inspired by the story Kumiko and the Dragon. Through learning about Japanese culture, traditions and mythical creatures, students will be able to draw on these ideas to spark their creativity as they begin planning their own magical stories. We can’t wait to see where their imaginations take them! 🇯🇵🌟🎎

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to grow we go! 🌽
Our mighty Pick of the Crop garden crew have been busy creating a fairy tale themed scarecrow scene in the vegetable garden behind prep. Snow White and her 7 gnome garden helpers are working alongside Steve the Scarecrow to keep our garden safe and well-tended. Our students have been busy tending to the beans, peas, lettuce, tomatoes and other plants this term and are excited for more produce during Term 4.

This week we were lucky to welcome back former student Tommy Newcombe, who visited our Year 6 students to share his work in astronomy and introduce them to his website, Celestial Archives.

Our students were fascinated by Tommy’s explanations and animations showing how the seasons occur, as well as the incredible photographs he has captured using his electronic telescope.

It was wonderful to see a former student return to share his knowledge, passion and experience with our current students.
