Last week, Rise Education and Training proudly provided training facilities for three sessions of Manual Handling training in our training room in Woolloongabba for the staff in the Northern Suburbs of Sunnycare Home Care & NDIS services. I had the chance to speak with the RN manager, Ms. Lydia Wu, and her staff team in my office, to conduct an industry consultation regarding their training needs and ongoing work placement and job opportunities for our Individual Support students.
Sunnycare has been a rapidly developing aged care and NDIS home care company over the past five years, currently employing more than 400 personal carers and support workers, primarily in Queensland. They also own an aged care residential facility in Southeast Brisbane, with the second stage under construction, which will open up more job opportunities in the future.
We deeply appreciate Sunnycare's support for our course development over the past years, as well as their generous provision of work placement and job opportunities for our students and graduates, who are primarily job seekers with CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) immigration backgrounds.
Rise Education and Training is committed to supporting our industry partners in staff training and employment retention as part of our mission. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Sunnycare and other employers to enhance the skills and career opportunities of our students.

We got the permission to share the learning story of one of our recent CHC33021- Certificate III in Individual Support graduates Linda Liang.
Linda 's journey from managing her own business to pursuing a career in aged care is truly inspiring. After a career change, Linda decided to embark on a new path by enrolling in the CHC33021- Certificate III in Individual Support course at Rise Education and Training in September 2023. With determination and hard work, Linda completed her studies, demonstrating a strong commitment to her newfound passion for caregiving. During her course, Linda undertook a 120-hour work placement at Taigum Anglicare residential homes, where she showcased her self-motivation and proactive approach to caring for others. Her dedication paid off, as she successfully secured a job contract at a local aged care nursing home upon fast track her course in January 2024. Linda's story exemplifies the transformative power of education and the pursuit of one's passions.
Her husband was very proud of her as she successfully completed her first vocational training training qualification and immediately secure a job in the aged care industry. Well done Linda and best of luck of your new career.

The New office has total 239 square metres' space including training room, big board room and office facilities. It could accommodate up to 50 students at a time.
The new office will accommodate our business growth in future and would provide a spacious and inviting environment for our students and the staff.
