Colourful Butterfly Fun!

Today our little artists worked together to create a beautiful butterfly using recycled loose parts and colourful paints. The children enjoyed choosing colours, painting, sharing materials and contributing their own ideas to our group masterpiece.
A wonderful experience supporting creativity, fine-motor skills, teamwork, colour recognition and learning through play. 🌈✨

♻️ Loose Parts Play – Creating, Recycling & Learning 🎨🌿

Today the children enjoyed a wonderful loose parts creative experience, using recycled and natural materials such as cardboard, egg cartons, cotton balls, sticks, bottle tops and other reusable items. Together, they explored the materials, attached them to our large cardboard canvas and added their own colourful touches with paint. 🎨

This experience encouraged the children to understand that not everything needs to be thrown away — many everyday materials can be recycled, reused and transformed into something new. ♻️💚

Through working together, choosing materials and creating freely, the children developed their creativity, imagination, fine motor skills, problem-solving, communication and teamwork, while also learning to care for our environment.

Today, as part of our Science Week celebrations, the children participated in an exciting Colourful Milk Science Experiment. 🧪🌈

We began by pouring milk into a tray. The children watched closely as we used pipettes to add drops of different food colours into the milk. They were excited to choose different colours and observe how they began to spread and mix.

Next, we sprinkled powder over the colourful milk and talked about what we could see happening. Finally, we added dish soap to the tray. The children were fascinated as the colours suddenly began to move, run, swirl and spread across the tray, creating beautiful colourful patterns. We encouraged the children to watch carefully and predict what might happen next.

There were lots of curious faces as the children observed the changes and explored cause and effect—discovering how adding different materials could change what was happening in the tray.

This fun, hands-on Science Week experience supported the children’s curiosity, observation skills, colour recognition, fine-motor development, turn-taking and early scientific thinking. Most importantly, the children enjoyed discovering that science can be colourful, exciting and full of surprises! 🔬🌈✨

🌈 Learning Through Play 🎨
Today the children had fun exploring shapes, colours, puzzles and painting. They enjoyed matching shapes, solving puzzles together and creating colourful artwork while developing their creativity, problem-solving and fine motor skills. 💕✨

Our little learners enjoyed a wonderful day of creativity, early literacy, sensory exploration and imaginative construction play. Through drawing, writing and building with kinetic sand and construction vehicles, they strengthened their fine motor skills, problem-solving, teamwork and communication while having lots of fun together. 🌈🚜✏️🩷

🌾 Learning Through Play 🐄

Children explored the farm sensory tray using their imagination while scooping, pouring, sorting, and role-playing. This experience supported fine motor skills, sensory exploration, language development, problem-solving, creativity, and early maths concepts in a fun, hands-on way. 🌱✨
