We’re so excited to be bringing the Monty the Monstar Fun Run to Woody Point Special School on Friday 23 October! 🎉👟

Students have received their sponsorship booklets, so now it’s time to start fundraising! Families can create their student’s profile at myprofilepage.com.au and share it with family and friends to start collecting donations.

🏆 Raise just $10 to unlock your first prize, with even more prizes to earn as your fundraising total grows!

🎉 MUP 5’s Celebration of Learning! 💙

MUP 5 staff and students are very happy to be back at school and diving into our new “Celebration” unit! 🎈

We’ve been having lots of fun with our daily phonics activities, exploring objects beginning with our targeted sounds. Our sensory exploration of the “b” and “g” sounds brought plenty of smiles as we played guitar, tried on pretend glasses, hugged a gorilla and made music with bells! 🔔🎸🦍

We’ve also been enjoying birthday-themed sensory stories, counting songs and interactive activities on HelpKidzLearn. Our students are becoming increasingly confident using their Jelly Bean switches to make choices and access their favourite activities. 🌟

Through play, our little investigators are exploring different schemas, including connecting, rotating, transporting, positioning, enveloping and trajectory. There’s so much learning happening through curiosity, exploration and fun!

A special highlight was our visit from TribalLink, where we were able to learn more about Aboriginal culture and explore tapping sticks and the didgeridoo. ❤️💛🖤

We’re looking forward to lots more fun, learning and celebrations as we discover how people celebrate here and around the world! 🌏🎉

📚 EP5’s Love of Literacy! 💙

What a wonderful excursion to Redcliffe Library! 📖✨

EP5 had a fantastic time exploring the library, playing games, enjoying stories and making the most of their bus ride adventure. 🚌

There was plenty of fun, engagement and lots of laughs along the way! It was wonderful to see EP5 building their literacy skills while enjoying books, learning together and creating special memories.
