Side Kick Saturday 👊🥋Great to see brothers Jayden and Kayden showing their skills outside our Woodvale training centre at Woodvale Secondary College.

Both students demonstrated excellent control and balance with their side kicks, meeting perfectly in the middle!

Training with family can be a great motivator, and these two brothers are always pushing each other to improve every week.

🌟 Father’s Day 2025 🌟 At First TaeKwonDo WA, we proudly honour the many fathers who step onto the training floor alongside their children.
TaeKwonDo is more than a martial art — it is a lifelong journey of discipline, respect, and perseverance. When fathers and children train together, the benefits reach far beyond fitness and technique. Fathers lead by example, showing their children the value of commitment, resilience, and personal growth. In a world where many young people look to outside influences as role models, the presence of a father to look up to — right beside them on the Dojang floor — is truly invaluable. Acta Non Verba!

Training side by side, fathers and children share in both triumphs and challenges. They sweat together, overcome difficulties together, and learn that progress comes through patience, effort, grit, and determination. These lessons forge not only stronger martial artists, but also stronger individuals equipped with the mental fortitude to face life’s demands.

Here are three of our outstanding female Assistant Instructors from last night’s Woodvale class—from left to right: Jasmine, Eesha, and Bella. These remarkable young women have each dedicated over a decade to their TaeKwonDo journey, honing their skills, building resilience, and becoming strong role models for our students.

A short clip capturing two of our young Woodvale 5th Kup students successfully breaking a board with a back kick (dwi chagi) for the first time.

The back kick is one of Taekwondo’s foundational techniques, serving as a critical building block for developing more advanced skills. Breaking a pine board with this technique is a noteworthy accomplishment, demonstrating the students' focus, technical precision, and growing confidence.

This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting journey in their Taekwondo practice. As they continue to progress, they will further refine their skills and master a range of powerful techniques, each tested and proven through challenges like board breaking.
