National Science Week 🌼

To celebrate National Science Week, the Junior classes have been learning how to make paint from flowers, spices and powdered vegetables.

They have been exploring how colours have been made and used throughout history using natural pigments, making connections between nature, science, technology, visual art and history before producing their own artwork in this fun and interactive activity.

Feast of the Assumption

Today we celebrated the Feast of the Assumption when Mary, the mother of Jesus, was taken body and soul into Heaven at the end of her earthly life.

During the Senior School Mass and Junior School Liturgy of the Word, we took time to think about the mothers, grandmothers and special women in our lives, giving thanks for their love, guidance and strength.

As a community, we pray that Mary’s Assumption will remain a sign of hope and encouragement for all Catholics as they continue their faith journey through life with trust in God.

2026 Division 1 Grand Finals 🏆

Congratulations to our First XVIII Football and First XI Soccer teams who both played in their Division 1 SAAS Grand Finals last night!

After a season of hard work and determination, both teams have made our community proud, exemplifying the passion and commitment that define the red & black spirit.

We thank Prince Alfred College and Nazareth College for their spirited competition in these two nail-biting Grand Finals.

Blue Week 2026 💙

Last week was a time for us to take step back from our busy schedules, check in with those around us and focus on our wellbeing.

Through activities such as the barefoot grounding exercise, wellbeing lessons focussed on mental health, a morning walk & talk on the oval and hearing from a range of guest speakers, students learned about the importance of looking after their mental health and played an active part in reducing the stigma around seeking help.

The Prefect-led blue doughnuts and netball match against Loreto College were fun ways to lift spirits while keeping a focus on the message of the week.

Vinnie's Winter Sleep Out 🌜

Well done to the 50 Years 6-12 students who volunteered to sleep rough in Mackey Mall last night to better understand the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness.

The group then rose before sunrise, cooked breakfast and made their way to the Victoria Park Racecourse to participate in the Hutt Street Centre ‘Walk a Mile in My Boots’ fundraiser.

Intergenerational Connections ❤️🖤

This year, Rostrevor’s Year 5 cohort have been visiting the residents of Warrina Park Aged Care to build genuine, lasting relationships across the generations.

During these regular visits, they have been taking part in fun activities which provide opportunities for meaningful conversations.

The visits have strengthened our students’ understanding of the value of listening, kindness and human connection while bringing joy to the lives of residents.

This morning we gathered as a College community in the Valley to participate in a meaningful smoking ceremony with First Nations community leader Steven Warrior.

Students and staff were invited to take a moment before school to be welcomed back to Country in this ancient tradition.

Interstate Independent School Cup 2026 ⚽️🥈

Well done to the First XI squad who finished second overall after a thrilling 4-4 draw with Newington College yesterday in wet weather at the Interstate Independent School Cup.
